Wildwood Insurance IS Available (Mandatory input needed)

Here's the deal; all riders can be covered but certain things will need to be in place before this can be accomplished. The policy will run between $400 -$500 and if we have enough people this will be split equally among us.

1. We need for everyone wishing to be placed on the policy to post up in this thread that you WILL be willing to pay a nominal fee to participate in the policy. If you have a spouse or child that will be riding, then that will be consider a count also and will have to pay.

2. Once we have an accurate count of participants people can then PayPal the fee to me (if you feel comfortable with doing so AND SEND IT AS A GIFT not to incur any additional charges) No PayPal, then you can send a check to my P.O. box (u2u for address) I will need a full name at this time to be placed on the policy.

3. A definite answer must be had no later than October 6th At this point a decision will be made to insure or not to insure.

This is a collective group insurance that covers us as participants in our kiting activities through the weekend and doesn't really have anything to do with the event itself. Only those paying will be listed on the policy and will be covered. Those who choose not to participate in the policy can still come and ride at the bash, but would be on their own insurance/liability wise.

If there are not enough participants then this offer will be pulled. I would like to thank Angus for setting us up with Mr. O’Connor, Rian for taking the time to iron out much needed details and all of you that have came forth with the suggestions and ideas needed make all of this possible.

What exactly are the benefits to obtaining this policy. What liabilities/injuries to myself or others will be covered. And to what value...? Deductibles...?

To my understanding, the policy would be like the coverage obtained at any other sporting event where liability and injury is a risk. I don't have specifics for actual coverage right now as we haven't officially gotten a quote, but total coverage would be for roughly $1,000,000 and is supposed to cover us in liability and in injury relating to a kiting accident. Please continue to ask questions like these and air any other concerns you may have and I will take them to Mr O'Connor and get the answers for you. Right now we are just trying to get a head count of those who are interested in being covered so we can decide if it would be worth getting the policy. We have to emphasize, in order to be covered, your name MUST BE ON THE POLICY.

The policy would be for $1,000,000 General Liability per occurrence, up to $2,000,000 aggregate. This is supposed to cover participants (on the policy), bystanders, property, equipment (I believe), theft i'm not sure about. Additional $10,000 in medical coverage with $1,000 deductible for those without major medical insurance. I have asked Mr. O'Connor to email a summary of the policy details, but have not received anything yet. We were disconnected during our conversation and have not been back in touch yet.

For those wanting to know more about coverages, I just got a SAMPLE quote of coverage from Mr. O'Connor. We have not gotten an official quote yet as we are still determining interest by you guys to see if it will be worth it at this point. I had to copy this over via OCR, so I may have missed some spelling corrections. If anyone has any questions, i'll try and answer as best I can.

I have you covered, I got a replacement pink skirt for you. I will put in my kite bag and have it for you if you make it to Nahant this weekend. Unfortunately, the store did not have any more shell for the top of the costume.

I'm in anyway to help the coverage fees.

It hasn't been specifically addressed, so we'll forgive you this time. This discussion is related to this Buggy Bash, which will not be a NAPKA event. Future bashes might be NAPKA events, which would require participants to be NAPKA members and be able to use the NAPKA event insurance.

Thanks Danny!

Also thanks to all of you for realizing that as big as the event is becoming, something like this will be needed in the future as well. Kudo's to a great group of guys! If there are others that you may know and would be interested, please pass the word. The more participants, the lower the cost per person if we go with it.

Thanks
