the rear bearings on both vmax and hardcore are 6204, front bearings on hardcore is 6201, but I dont know the code for the front bearings for the vmax.
can someone tell me please?

All I could come up with was the part numbers from John's site but it didn't give me any indication of a code number.

If they are 6201 2RS bearings, you can get lots of 10 for $10 at VBX bearings. They are cheap Chinese bearings, but at two bucks to swap them out they are a better deal than SKF. The same bearings are used in the PL buggies.

dependes what wheel you are using and what Axle bolt you have. Also look if it is with adapter 12/20.. or not.

VBX does have some decent bearings... I've been using those for my roller hockey skates with good luck but havne't thrown a lot of dirt or sand at them.

if youre competitive in racing or speed you want good bearings. getting to 100 km/h is easier achieved on smooth rolling bearings, many top pilots are going to those self adjusting bearings as well.

it isnt about "brand", its about "type" of bearing you use.

you can cut down service if you clean, rinse after beach use. also one idea i picked up at WC is bolt covers (refer to the teaser video).

Rip, I just looked at your times at the WC. If you think expensive bearings are going to make your times close to competitive, you are going to need something like ceramic silicon nitride, spherical bearings. I may not race, but I am pretty sure that even the best bearings are not going to move you from 55th up to 1st place, unless the bearings you are using now are completely seized.
Dagon, the cheap VBX bearings will serve you just fine.

Actually I filled them with super glue at night.

I do have to say that Number 55 in the world is pretty damm good.

If I could just figure out what Rip did to my Bearings?:wee:

go ahead and buy the cheap bearings but order a coulpe of sets you'll need them.
My Record for cheap bearing destruction is from new to scrap in under 1 hour. You also have to hope that you are not going really fast when she blows because if the outer race starts to turn inside the rim you'll need a new one of them also.

TIMES? they were based on laps. unfortunately for my first HUGE race it was pretty good being stuck in a technical zone with the complete Dutch Team. luckily on one of the races i got out before they did and placed 36. ask Chris he was there, he knew how small it was, but lucky enough to be the with BE and AUS team. get it right #54 in the world!!! :tumble:

bearing have nothing to do with the racing. on this side of earth is seem like its about going fast / speed.

no one said anything about going to 1st its all skill and continuing to practice. the correct kite choice per race.

i understand you dont know what racing is or speed for that matter but at 100km/h+ everything needs to be quality.
