I have a 4m beamer that will soon need a new line set. Would I gain anything by going with longer lines. The original set just seems so short compared to other kites I have. Would I see any additional power? Could it be that this kite was intended towards the newbie flier, hence the shorter lines?

They used to ship the 4m with 25 m sets but they are 20 m across all sizes now and I forget when they made the switch. Prolly a money saver. if you have 20's and put on 25's it will slow the kite some but lengthen the power stroke. At some sites depending on nearby obstacles it might help you get up to cleaner winds.

If you have the room, go for it.

Thanks Angus, I don't think that 5 meters would matter to me anyways since the 4 meter is incredibly fast already. A very good thought about getting the kite up higher to possibly cleaner winds. God knows that Wisconsin is like gust central. I think our trees outnumber our population ten to one.

If I only had a bigger chainsaw. (hehe)
