Flysurfer Speed 13 Meter

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a flysurfer speed 13 meter for two uses. I need a good light wind kite. Right now I have a bullet 7 meter for kiteblading but I do not have kiteboarding ocean experience yet.

1. Kitboarding

2. Kite-blading on the beach

I live in San Diego winds are about 6-10 in the afternoons.

Thanks much,

Rich

Not used a flysurfer my self but they do seem to be touted as a good land/water cross over kite . Anyone out there using one cos i been thinking about going down that road myself :puzzled:

I had an old Flysurfer warrior and they've made tons of improvements since then and it was a nice kite back then! I myself am a fatter guy at about 210 and am saving up for a Speed 17. In winds 6-10 I'd never get out of the water unless I get the big monster!

Over at foilzone they can't stop raving about the speeds but they are all flysurfer junkies over there. If you can afford it, I'm sure you'll like it.

Check out Peter Lynn kites too tough. They are extremely stable and I use the Phantoms for landboarding and on the water. They're harder to relaunch off the water then their other kites, but they are awesome landboarding kites. A P18 might suite you well if your kiteblading on hard packed sand in those winds.. maybe. Good news is you can somtimes find them used for alot cheaper then a flysurfer!

You can get cheaper than a flysurfer, but not better. These are some of the best kites made. You get what you pay for. End of story. The new speed rides hard and fast, aggressively attacks the edge of the window. Makes tons of power per sqare meter, (even for a de-powerable) and has lift and hang time like no one's business. The speed is the kite the community has been waiting for.

Scoop

(shameless pimp.... I do sell these  )
