Y'know what I hate?

Goddamned harness manufacturers who only take photos of the BACK of their stupid harnesses ... especially annoying when looking for a seat harness, and wanting to check the leg straps ...

Yes, my faithful Fusion is starting to seriously fall to bits. I will probably just replace it with the same again as it's still the biggest fitting harness I can find :(

Can't go wrong with the fusion. Great harness, excellent DaKine quality.

I'm with you there Kami

There should be some more pics to show harnesses. I'm in the market to get a new harness too. My harnesses have lots of life left but starting to think of a good waist harness more or so to change it up and try something new. Looked at a few but I think that a harness is more like shoes where you gotta put it on to know how it will feel. The pics just don't seem to tell me how well I'll like it. Good luck on your search.

Cheers
Shaggs

since switching 2 yrs ago from Dakine and Mystic to exclusively Prolimit... i've never been happier with a kiting harness. however, since i had the rib injury last February, i've isolated myself to strictly seat harnesses. i've used the Fusion and a mystic aviator, not as comfortable and didnt like those as much as the Prolimit Kite Seat or the Airush 2011 Seat.

I Really like the new Airush Seat Harnesses. i can take pics if you like if you guys would like.

Can get 3D views (ie. 4 photos from different angles) of things like sunglasses but 9 times outa 10 there's only a rear view of harnesses :(

My big problem is my erm bigness :D The XXL Fusion is a good fit, perhaps a little loose now (lost some weight) but the leg straps are still tight. I think the XXL is 42/44 but most other manufacturers stop at 38 or perhaps 40 at most ... I have an XL OR Session 2 but still can't do up the straps :(

Thanks John, I'll check those out. It's not that I'm unhappy with the Fusion (except for the wedgies) but I'd like to try something else ;) variety is and all that

Total sales of Oakley sunglasses = ???
Totals sales of Mystic harnesses = ???

Think that pretty much sums up why are aren't seeing 3D views of more harnesses.

Honestly, I tend to look for video reviews of stuff where the manufacturer hasn't posted enough pics of.

If that fails, you could always post what harness you are interested in on a couple of forums, and ask folks to post pics of gear if they already own it.

One of the other kite forums is fairly well littered with requests for bridle and frame specs for kites. A surprising number of queries get responses rather quickly.

Sam

Seriously, they couldn't afford to upload just ONE more picture per product?!? We got zoom views of spreader bar pads FFS ...!

And it wasn't Oakley, it was erm someone else I've never heard of till recently - good looking kiteboarding glasses though :D

the essence of "ON LINE " shopping...the try it before you buy it is a zero.

it deters me 95% of the time for just about anything.

the transport guys are loving it though!

ANYTHING that must conform to the body has to free shipping, FOR returns as well or i won't deal with it. BUT how truly wasteful is that system!

one more pic is not gonna replace , the meat in the seat KK.

True that ... but there is zero chance of a fitting here. Although I can order custom fitted wetsuits real cheap ...?!?! Maybe when I lose a few more tons I mean pounds ...

I strap up the Fusion so tight it's no wonder it's falling to bits  I do like it though - don't even notice I have it on 90% of the time - very comfy! Except for the wedgies

Here's a funny story ... asked a not-so-local kiteshop "friend" to get me a Fusion.
He said the Dakine dealers in Japan are almost non-existent and basically don't give a #@%$#!. I should order it online.
I asked about other harness brands like Mystic that he stocks. He said the Mystic dealers in Japan don't carry extra large sizes. I should order it online.
Repeat for a few other random items like spreader bar pads, bars&line sets, Ozone SB harness etc ... "You should order it online" was invariably the answer.

Well, I bought my Crossbow online and told him about it, and now he won't talk to me and gets all pissy when we meet at the beach cos "The internet is destroying his business" :dunno: :shocked2:

...

OMFG have you seen the North harnesses? What moron decided the colour schemes and what halfwit designed them? Blech!

Hey!!!! The United Colors of Playdoh just take a certain something to be able to pull off.

Sadly, it's a task that's best left to bunnies.
