Im looking for a new kite (Help!)

i currently have a 3.5 metre kite and im looking into buying a larger one, One big enough to get air from.
is 7.0 metres enough?
Also, would a bar be better for jumping with?

Any reccomendations on a kite! (my budget is low, around £350 for the kite on its own.)
Cheers!

I bit more info might help.

Your weight? The typical winds and winspeeds in your area ? Gusty inland or clean Coastal?

You want to jump but do you want to ride something ?

3.5 meter what ?

350lb should get you a reasonable used kite if we figure out your needs a bit more.

Weight : 12 stone

Local Wind : 8mph - 20mph (Can be more, we usually fly costal.)

We have the Quattro imp 3.5, we got a buggy too, cant remember what make.

But basicly, we want a kite souly for getting air and hovering along!

We can use the imp for the buggy really.

Really appreciate the help!!

Ps: i was looking at a "Flexifoil Blurr 7.0metres"

The Blurr is a good buggy engine but not a very good kite for jumping.

You have conflicting needs there. Typically buggy kites are desinged to have less lift.

Flexifoils lifty kite is the Blade series. Peter Lynn Twister is it's cheaper Sister !

You won't find any single Fixed Bridle kite that will cover your wind range. I think you may be wanting an Arc ???? A 12 - 15m would do the job.

thank you for your help!

I am looking at the Peter lynn Twister, i had a look at videos and the 7.7 looks like a real beast, im not sure im ready for that and somthing a little less extreme would be good. So the 5.6 is a very real option!

also, would a bar be good for jumping? (not extreme bar.)

Cheers.

The Twisters, esp. the bigger ones, are not happy on a bar unless you get the brake tensions just right and even then you are better off on handles. Especially for jumping where you need solid brake inputs for re-directing the kite.

I have the Twister II 4.1 and its a beast in the upper wind range, anything above about 20. A 5.6 might be more fun in the lower wind range.

Also I first taught myself how to ride with a board and kite with the Twister II, so its possible.
