looks like they upgraded a lot there original was pretty much a Rockville.
I can't see in the pictures how they attach the back axle now.
Good stater buggy but you will be limited on upgrades to wheels & tires with the front fork

eBay listing has the frame listed as aluminum rather than steel.

Yeah it's the Rockville in its latest incarnation. From the same guys at Cloud 9 in Utah. I thought the aluminum as posted on Ebay was a misprint, but the web site elaborates on 6061-T6 Aluminum. I can't imagine why; last thing you want is that little thing to be lighter. The foot-pegs-of-death are still steel but the Ninja end-plates are gone. Sounds like they have a new headstock turn stop "system" (good thing, likely).

Possibly still a good starter buggy or something for the kids.

Check out the chick in the pics; can't imagine her in motion while holding the handles like that.

the girl in the pics looks horrified that the kite left the ground and the buggy moved. The kite shouldn't have flown very much with the brakes on like that. You'd think for promo shots, they would show her how to hold the handles. In most buggy shots, it appears that the buggy isn't in motion at all.

If you really have to pay around $500, then a PL comp XR+ is a no brainer.

$499 MSRP
$449 Buy It Now on eBay
$249 Starting Bid with No Reserve on eBay.

Details on the Head Stock Stop would be would be nice... kind of sketchy if it is welded inside.

Box profile rear axle.... not sure I have seen that before.

I would say worth no more than $300 brand new. I sold mine used for $150. I think for $400 you could find a much better buggy if you look around.

I started on the old Rockville Kite Trike, and beefed up the flimsy back rest board with thicker plywood and welded the foot pegs into place because they'll loosen up and push out while you ride. Looks like they still make it that way. I paid $299 to my door from Cloud 9 a few years ago. Sold it last year still working with new bearings but rusty as hell because of the thin chrome coated steel they used. Broke a bunch of seat straps & buckles too. Cloud 9 sent me a new seat and a handfull of replacement buckles. Not too bad for the $$ and was actually more stable than the standard size -wide tire Flexi I had at the same time. Still though, for the jack they want now, you can do better buying a used PL or Flexi.

Here's my stupid grin a few years ago at JIBE where I first really "got it". Picture by Angus Campbell, Coastal Wind Sports.
