FlySurfer SpeedAir 12

Another eBay snag. What a great kite. Please, keep selling your used kites for 25% retail!

This is an inflatable foil kite, with an awesome depower system. Everything is a little different with this kite, think of a Peter Lynn ARC with a bridle. The kite is like a "Bow" version of an ARC. The bridle modifies the shape of the kite the same way a Supported Leading Edge (SLE or "Bow" Kite) modifies a LEI (Leading Edge Inflatable) water kite. Disclaimer, I've never flown a "Bow", so I could be way off on this...

I'm using in on the mountain board in light, non gusty conditions 10 - 25 k

3.5 Lines - One brake line leaves the bar, it splits about 2 meters from the kite into two. The kite uses the same pulley system as the Frenzy.

The bar (nice and long), has a pulley system on it, which results in a very smooth, strong set-up.

The kite inflates very easily, and is easy to launch without an assistant. You need at least 10 Kph winds for it to inflate. Shake the kite, or do a little running with it to help out the process.

De-power is really incredible, and allows you to confidently fly this monster in stronger winds than you'd expect.

Keeping the bridle untangled during set-up/launch can be challenging. The kite can flip if it's rolling around on the ground. 2 or 3 flips can seriously impact the controls, leaving you with virtually no steering and no de-power :o

As other reviews indicate, the power builds very smoothly, there isn't a lot a *pop*, jumps with this kite involve a slightly long take-off, followed by a dreamy soft landing.
The take off is so smooth, it feels like an elevator...
