Take Off!(to the great white north!)

Yesterday was our first day of snowkiting on the Tug! We all met up at the Hanno lot for some fun, friends, and flying. Conditions were not the best, Gusty wind, sticky snow made for poor riding, but Jan and Jackie worked with some new kiters, Liz and Chris, and got them to "Take Off!" on their boards for at least a taste, and it was a fun day, so I picked a fun song for the video. Crew in attendance were Jan, Jackie, bigben91682(Ben), Liz, Chris, and myself. Will post as conditions improve!

Bob, not much to say about yesterday, at least your music selection was top notch.

I'm glad the little bit of footage you got of me was from so far away, didn't look quite as aweful as it felt. Tough conditions no doubt.

Hopefully the snow and wind are better for January's event, that stuff was wet heavy and sticky yesterday, like marshmallow fluff.....

No,I just flew my 8M static for a while. When I first got there, I 'slid' my board across the snow, and it went about 2 feet and stuck, with no weight on it! I've tried to ride those conditions before, very conducive to face plants!(especially for me!) My board is in the shop getting tuned up, the board I had Sunday, I just got used from a guy at work, it hasn't been used (or waxed) in 5yrs or so, so whatever wax may have been on it is probably gone. When I get my board back, this one will go in. Then I'll have a spare. Looks like rain today and tomorrow, then a possibility of snow later in the week, so I'll keep you all updated on conditions in the Tug Hill thread.
