Everything I've read about the Blade IIIs says comparable power is delivered from a 10m Frenzy... that isn't from hands-on experience, though.

I have both a blade and a frenzy and i enjoy flying the frenzy much more. With the depower I can get better jumps by powering the kite more on its upswing. Hooked to a harness its one of the best ride out there.

I have the handle setup on the blade and I can't fly for too long because I get much more tired, and I don't like using handles with a harness. It can be turned very sharply however.

When I meet people on the beach that don't have much kite expirience I am more inclined to let them fly the blade because it is a little easier to fly.

If what you really want to do is landboard. Get a harness and go de-power. You will never look back. One major thing everyone is passing over, is the aggressiveness of the Blade kites. They are not the best for learing landboarding. Especially the smaller (4.9 and down) because of their speed and quickly changing pull. You have to lean back and balance against the kite, and this is much easier with a larger slower kite that parks its self in the corner of the window, and you can adjust the power with the bar. Now you have 2 ways to control balance.

I have an Ozone Frenzy 7m, with a Dakine fusion harness riding an MBS comp 16 pro. this setup is great. One time I was at the beach and didn't have my board, so I just jumped and scudded for hours. I couldn't believe how long I could keep this up without getting tired. A good quality well fitting harness makes all the difference. As for de power vs fixed, I feel much more in control with the de power system. I fly inlnd often with changing wind conditions. the de power and adjustable cleat on the frenzy lets me stay in control as the wind changes.

If the price of the Frenzy is a bit intimidating, give the Ozone Access a look.
