short lines


I'm not a water guy (yet), but I came across this french dude who runs short lines with some kind of modified bar on water and land.... thought a few of you might like to take a look...

link? there are a bunch of folks I know who run larger kites on shorter lines. I go back and fourth. I like long lines too, when I want to jsut fly the kite more and work the window rather than park and ride.

With shorter lines you can turn the kite faster, which leads to bigger jumps.

The longer the line set the more wind speed you can take advantage of. Wind speed increases with altitude
