Scrub 9" rim wanted - #@%$#!ty custumer service of SCRUB
Hi to all ..
long and sad story
the wheel on my Scrub Paradox got broken after 5 sessions ... but the problem was it happened 2 or 3 days after the one year warranty expired.
But when I purchased the board (brand new) it came without one wheel ... so I had to wait another 3 week for the wheel, didn't have so much time so I
rode about 4 times and didn't have a problem.
the last session was different ... borrowed the board to my friend who is bigger then me and after few minutes of ridding he comes back and one wheel
is broken. he didn't even jumped...
it was bunch of guys around and everybody said they never seen such a thing happened during easy ride, cruising the beach
When the hub broke, I contacted the store where I purchased the board and ask them for new one. They told me they have to talk to Scrub directly about
the warranty.
I didn't wait and wrote them too what happened and what was the whole story with the board.
I took 6 weeks from day when I order the board to the day when I had the board complete.
I received the answer from Scrub and the store as well ... negative ... the board is no more under warranty and they don't care and I have to buy new
on my own
I wrote them 1 year and 2 or 3 days after the order was placed. Just the order ... they didn't care that by their mistake one wheel was missing and
total time of delivery was 6 weeks ...
such a bull#@%$#! service ...
they count the warranty since the day of the order ... not day of delivery .. don't understand ... + I couldn't use the board because came incomplete
...
ok, I said let it go and I wrote them back even if it's not under warranty I would like to purchase the hub..
got answer that they don't ship and I have to order it from their dealer ... but the problem is they don't have a US dealer who has replacement parts
for Scrub boards ...
shipping from UK is almost twice the price of new hub and anyway nobody wants to ship it anyway..
I found guy who is selling Scrub boards , but he only has 8" rims, for my board I need 9"
so the board is 8 months in the basement - getting corrosion and being use less
I had similar problem in Ground Industries boards, Flight 93 .. the rims where loose and even when I tied them as much as I could , were still shaky
wrote them about it and few days later received complete set of 4 brand new hubs ... too bad only 8 ", no charge , no other questions .. no hassle ...
but Scrub service is the worst ever ever..
I would like to ask you all if you have any knowledge where I could get
Scrub 5 Spoke Mountain Board Hub (9 inch)
please let know
could be also used or new ..
I'm located in US
thanks...

Some folks that deal in Scrub Boards. Should have parts on hand or should be able to order them for you:
Sorry if I missed anyone. Dinged a hand and typing is a little bit dicey.
LD: The very least Scrub could have done is emailed you a list of dealers in your area. The website lists UK and Canada dealers, but that's it.
Gribble.

i see most brands are dropping the ball for service this side of earth. without a rep / distributor on this side things will never change. on the flip
side other brands like MBS, Trampa, Next, GI will continue to grow.
if you cant find just one wheel, maybe change all 4 ... sooner or later the other 3 will have damage?

thanks guys ...
I found few more 9" hubs .. one is Primo Hub and the other is MBS Tri-Spoke Hub which is supposed to fit 8 and 9 inch tires too ..
but another problem nobody is selling Primo's in US and mbs are sold in set of 4, and not sure what's the size of a bearings ....
I would buy the set if they would fit the 12mm bearings .. but will see...
anyway I'm gonna sell the board and never ever gonna buy #@%$#!Ty Scrub ...
