Lake Dillon CO Mon Jan 17 - DSO warmup?

Anybody up to go check it out and pack some pow down?

Anton@cokiteforce says the lake is completely frozen with 6-10" of pow on top of glare ice.

Only one month til the Dillon Snowkite Open, can't wait to see some of y'all there.

Defeated by traffic and weather conditions. I turned around before I even made it to the tunnel.

But thanks to unseasonably warm weather, it looks like another kiteATB session.

Oh well, at least I'm flyin today.

To bad, I70 is a nightmare when everybody is off work, looked like super conditions at Dillon today, wnw 10 to 15 gusting to 20, would have loved to have been there. Anton has worked hard to make the park real nice and I can't wait for Dillon Open. You can always take a little more time and drop down 285 to Fairplay and then hop over Hoosier which they keep open 95% of the time. Also I have the Flexboardz down here in Canon City if you guy's want to try it.

Yeah, was a little bummed the traffic killed me, but still got two solid hours of KiteATB, so it was a real nice day off even if I did futz around on i70 for some time.

Well, I hope you were trapped in a hotel or something, and not on the road. A buddy said it was epic conditions at the resorts, but that it also took him just over 6 hours to get home to denver-metro area.

yeah... i didn't mess with the roads, just skied and rode. It was epic conditions. I haven't had turns like that, especially inbounds, in years. My quads are killing from stomping my fattie skis, and my voice is sore from whooping and hollering. Pretty sure I described the conditions to a friend as better than 'hot buttered coitus'. :)
