new trucks or new board

I want to get in some more downhill action when the wind ain't blowing. Still snow for at least another 3 months but getting the itch after riding for a couple hours at Christmas on the coast. Which brings me to my question. I got a ton of speed wobble on my pro 90, with the skate style trucks. I was looking at investing in a comp 95 as the extra weight and size would make for a nicer ride on the hills. My other thoughts are to just invest in a set of matrix trucks and a few different eggshocks that I could switch for downhill or kite riding. Obviously the trucks are cheaper, but would that be the best route if I really want a good downhill experience??

what I fly/ride:
19m Flysurfer Speed 2 SA
12m Flysurfer Speed2
6m Ozone access xt
1.5m Ozone imp trainer
144cm Airush Switch
152cm lib tech skate banana
MBS Pro 90
Jereme Leafe Pro 95

Dude. GI Conflict. You can do anything. I don't know how much of a difference merely installing different trucks on it makes, because the problem is the board is too short. This makes it unstable. I don't really like skate trucks anyway :P

the Pro 90 has too much flex for downhilling and changing out the trucks wouldnt make it more stiff.

if funds allow, buy a downhill board and through in some Orange / Red Eggshocks.

well its definitely gonna be the new board then. I guess it will be a win win situation then. I will have a second board if my brother decides to give kiting a go this year. (will be supplying all the gear till he can afford some) Thinking it would be nice to have a second board on hand at the lake anyway. Thanks for the help.

The only reason why I'm looking at another MBS is because the local skate shop is a dealer. The Conflict looks like a sweet board though. It is also the same price as the comp 95. Just don't want to have issues with getting parts. How is GI for customer service and where can I locate a dealer in Canada????

im pretty sure ripsession started dealing with GI... ill vouch for a conflict... effing sweet ride...

i think youre making the right choice in a new board, it is deck stiffness that dictates likeliness of wobble, in my experience... stiffer decks=less wobble

ill also vouch for GI's service... i was having a hard time finding some hardware and they just sent it to me when i couldnt find it

That's wicked to know. Those conflicts look real sweet. I just gotta wait for good ole tax season to kick in so I can see where I'm gonna stand for spending $$$. Lookin' to get a 19m SA 2 first but if the funds won't allow....then it will be a new atb and maybe a longboard.

+1 for the longboard. I have been on my boards with a Kahuna creations big stick. I got tired of waiting for wind!
