Thinking of a freestyle event for the buggy bash, what do you think?
What I'll need is a list of contestants in the three category's being ATB, Buggy, and BloKart. The nitty gritty of rules will come out when I get an idea on how many are really interested. This will happen on a closed off course down close to the ferris wheel so it won't effect too many riders.

Is there a freestyle buggy wrecking category? And the only trick I know is "WALKING" away from the accident. How many pts. is that worth?

is the "dirt angel " a trick? how about the "full body sand impression"?

Todd, I was thinking there may not be alot of "freestylers" amongst us. Dan and Dean would blow us all away cause they can 2 wheel . Only time I'm on 2 wheels is at the start of a rollover. How about a "skillz" challenge. Some cones for a slalom, a small circuit track to make ya have to go upwind ,down wind ,crosswind. 200yd TIMED backwards race( 1 at a time for safety). Best OBE contest! (I'm a shoe in for that one). Anyway you get the Idea.

Another one, a wrap up and then setup speed contest. wrap up a parked foil, pack it in a bag with linesets still attached, then take it out and get it in the air fastest. Whichever way you think is fastest(parapack,figure 8s,whatever )

i could take the speed pack/unpack --usually its less than 1 minute from the time i step outa the car to the air--my bro in law could take the backwards buggy race--he's still a noob with the bug and ive seen him get a few decent backward runs already( against his will of course)!

I did 1/2 of Wildwood backwards on purpose!

would love to give the buggy freestyle a try and kgb might be a little sketchy,always good at crash and learn,set up the cameras

As for a freestyle event.. I'll watch, but don't count on me doing anything more spectacular than a big powerslide.. Not jumping my buggy, or doing anything else...

Sorry for the bad news guys. I've just been working around the clock lately on several things with no real end in sight. Realistically, it's unlikely I'll be able to make Wildwood this spring. Kitestorm probably gets axed too . I'm sure Todd can take my place and give rides to all the kids with his tandem. Just not enough time to get everything done in the time alotted to do it so some things have to give.

Not Kitestorm too... Can't you farm some work out? What can we help with to make it happen, Just like when Bob couldn't make the last one it WON'T be the same if anyone can't make the bash.

:o Now, not going to the first freestyle event at Wildwood will probably be like just handing the trophy(buggy, anyway) to buggydanny, and I know you just don't want to do that , Dean.

I'll do what I can Todd. It's just rather unlikely to manage some time off in the next few months. Sadly some things can't be farmed out.

If you get Dan to do some big air in his folder Bob that is definately a picture I want to see .

im gonna start practicing as soon as this snow/slush melts and drys up!

and you should do a sort of iron man buggy race that starts at the shalimar and riders have to race on foot to the beach and then get in their buggys and race down to a certain point and back

maybe boards and blokarts too or seperate races?
