I was just wondering what kind/style of kites all the LADIES were flying. Also what brand/model and size.

EDIT( What I'm lookin for is females that kiteboard/landboard/buggy and what kind of kite do they fly. I'm trying too check out my assertion that Depower kites were invented because girls wanted to kitebuggy too.):shocked2: What is that smell,did someone step in somethin'? or is it what's in this pot I'm stirrin?:wee:

My smarter half flies primarily HQ Apex 2's or Chargers. For light wind she has a P4 SA 19m.

So that is 1 for depowers

My other half flys a 2m Prism and a couple HQ Symphony's

1 for foils

Sandy flys FB as well. Mostly Skydogs becouse that is what we have!

2 for FBs

My daughter flew my old Rush 2.5....and was doing well until she got it wrapped up in a high light post at the local high school. I went to recover it the next day (after she reluctantly told me about it) and it was a goner.

I'm a foil guy for sure!!!! All depower experience thus far err....except for using the imp trainer. Biased to F.S., P.L., and Ozone cuz that's all I've flown so far.

edit: The wife wants to fly the access if she ever gets the hang of flying the imp. Don't think she'll try to ride the boards though. (forgot to add that part in when I posted)

my wife has flown the 3m legend and my daughter my symphony 1.4. My daughter did a downwinder in the buggy with the 1.4 on sunday!

I can't wait till my daughter can come kiting. 5months old is a little young though I'm thinking that she will grow to show up her two older brothers

What I fly is in my sig... granted the 9m was for Anderson but I play in light winds for now a bit myself. Flew an 11m Frenzy in 5 to 8mph for my snowkite lesson and I have to say it was fun for my 135 frame just to get up from a seated position with such a "big" kite.

Can't really say I'm comfy flying the 7m Frenzy yet - tried taking it out in some "erratic" winds for a beginning snowkiter (15mph gusting to 25) at Tug Hill and had to call it a day. The 4m worked better but was so quick that when I was able to generate enough power to get up and try to ride, the wind either died down or I got ganked into a super'gal, snowboard and all! Sad part was others were flying and grinning with anything from 5m LEIs to 15m FS S2 and I can do was watch with envy

SO yeah, I fly these but sometimes they fly me. :barf:

why not de-power? costly, bulky, relatively more complicated than handles.

I personally fly a PL Core 3m and 5.1m. Alexys flies a PL Spark 1.5m
I was the crazy chick who's gonna faster then most while sitting on a rear axle doing 86k. Hoping to hit 100k this year at NABX!!!! Can't wait to see everyone!!!!

I fly nasa wings starting off with the 0.4 all the way up to a 15 meter.

chuddy get an ARC for those gusty days you'll be able to keep riding comfortably because of the gust busting capabilities

My 11-yr old would-be kite buggier daughter flies FB. That said, I want to get her on depower as soon as she can master the bug with the FB.

People talk about depower like it is more advanced and thus not for noobs. On one hand I agree it is more complex and requires more training, but the advantages in maximizing the Fun/Risk ratio are huge. Noobs need safe, easy, and fun in that order. I just feel that after kite school 101 changing the order of priorities to safe, fun, easy can really amp up the fun without increasing the risk.

ALLRIGHTY THEN! There is something special when you come out of the turn with a well powered depower, and the kite is bottoming out of a downturn. Pull in the bar halfway and have enough acceleration to lift you out of the seat momentarily with only your feet on the pegs till the buggy catches up with you, then pull the bar into the sweet spot and light the afterburners. The allure of depower is not so you can depower it, but have the ability to choose your kite size so you can control it when you don't want full power (or a gust hits) but have enough "throttle" to also be powered enough to start breaking your tires loose at speed. It's possible to get balanced power like that with a fb, but you can do it every time with a depower if the wind is blowing. I have shaped my quiver to be able to do it either way so its not like I've missed out on the joys of a fixed bridle ride. I'd hate to have to choose just 1 type kite.

no way man, de-power is for those who really want to fly. If i wanted to sit on the ground and go fast, i'd ask my grandma for a ride in her car. de-power is for those who really want to ride the sky!:wee:

I fly both, so I'm glad you added a category for me, though most of the time I'd much rather be flying any of my FB kites. Haven't had any serious injuries, but many OBEs, all with the FB's but I rarely use the de-powers in the buggy.

I'm willing to try one Adam - maybe at WW in April!? Not being able to get up and ride for more than 10 feet at Tug was VERY deflating

arcs are so easy to learn with chuddy. I bet you anything it'll be so much easier to ride on that beach than in the snow. I garuntee we will get your riding with style at WW.
