pass the hard drive....

there have been several threads about music and what we like to listen to. i have a collection of music that spans Bach to Rock and everything (i do mean everything) inbetween. well over a thousand cd's and a few thousand songs from the napster/limewire era. but even with all of that, i always feel the need for some thing new to listen to. also i feel there are big holes in my collection. for instance there are a lot of great rock albums i would like to listen to, as well as some great music posted on peoples vids that i would like to get a hold of.

so here is what i'm proposing....
since portable hard-drives are relatively cheap these days, i would like to buy one and put my music on it for the next user to 'listen' to, and in turn he would load his music onto it and so on and so on.....
i have over 100gigs of music to start it off.....

any thoughts...?

Aye, sneaky sneaky! But a deviously good idea ;) I have quite a bit of contributing I could do to this, especially on the crazier side of music... up the irons! :bigok:

While I enjoy the idea of sharing music, I'd have to think that with Pandora-radio ( http://pandora.com ), grooveshark radio ( http://listen.grooveshark.com/ ), and others, that we could share links to our favorite music without the massive copyright infringement.

I will share my favorite artist, and the album is "pay what you want". Yes, zero is a valid option. (Though, I have known more than a couple people who took it for free and came back and paid for it.) http://bilbless.bandcamp.com/album/the-life-mechanism-2 This is "electronic music" so heads up if that's not your bag. To be specific, this is a glitchy-breakbeat.

All songs can be listened to on bandcamp for any artist for free, and many artists do have "pay what you will" pricing on a few albums.
