HQ Scout II Problems

I have a brand new Scout II. This is my second kite. I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to fly right. It flies like its half-depowered. I've checked all the lines with the diagram that came with the kite, and all of the lines on the bridle and on the control bar seemed to be hooked up correctly. The kite will not fly straight up and stalls before it gets above my head. It also turns poorly. Like its stalling while turning. It acts like the center line is being pulled a little bit when flying. Any help about what might be wrong with it would be greatly appreciated.

Have:

Cabrinha 11.5m CO2
Cabrinha 19.5m Contra
Ozone Imp Trainer 3.5m
HQ Scout II 5m

I actually emailed the guys at HQ and they said to make the brakeline knots longer. I did that. So I'm thinkin to take some kind of rope or string or something and tie it onto the brake line to make it longer. And if that still doesn't work my uncle said he'd send it in (He's the one that got it for me for Christmas) and get a new one.

You have two options for the brake line. Either you can add a piece to make it longer or you can shorten the other two top lines. Shortening the top lines may be easiest as all you need to do is to add a couple knots onto the leaders just below where the current knots are at right now. Then just move your flying lines down to the new knots. The distance isn't that important, usually about 2 inches is all you should need. Just make sure that the knot on the left side is the exact same distance as the knot on the right side. If you need to shorten the brake line more, just add another set of knots and move again. This way you can easily adjust the lines right at the control bar until you get the kite tuned in perfectly. If you need more help on this then let me know.....or you can call Chris directly at the number above...

Oh, and if you don't know, Chris is the U.S. sales representative for HQ Kites. I am pretty sure that he will get you fixed up no problem.
