Modifying folding Buggy
Hello wind junkies, I have been having a lot of fun with my
vintage folding buggy at the beach and park. Last year attended my first and only event NABX2010 wonderful experience. Im planning to attend 2011. My
question to the forum is this Has any one attempted with success to modify P/L Folder? My thought was to
add a 125/135cm axle and extend the side frame for better stability at speed. The connecting bracket would bolt to the existing wheel mount and a
additional bracket to the existing frame member... or Should I just buy a new buggy? All suggestion welcome Randy

Your PL is a very good bug, but it well never perform or do what a big buggy will do. I too have put a lot of thought into this and bought a big Libra
Hardcore buggy. Have you seen one with big foot tires and a 6 foot rear axle, they're awesome!
I plan to use my PL still in small parks and soccer fields, it's great to have two.
I am curious to your decision.
Good Luck

Aye, but who has more authority, the crystal ball or the wife? Or perhaps the
checkbook? No wife for me, but I've always got some kind of ball and chain when it comes to spending money :sniff:

First the wife, the check book second. Fortunately both are sympathetic to my interests.

definatley not worth modifying, and if the check book is not healthy, then a second hand Libre or something along those lines..
