Finally got to FLY my venom 10
this morning i took my venom out to fly in steady 15 mph as read on my kestral 5000
it was great the kite flew great and the jumping practice fun
the only problem was the field was covered in mud with some dry patches and the whole things was scattered with geese poo with about 5-7 turds per
square foot
lucky i was wearing old snow pants and boots because they were a mess
the kite itself depowered very good but i was using this make-shift leash from climbing rope and a brass clip the only problem was it was about in
inch short so the bar could not fully depower to my liking
and one things i noticed today is
I'M STILL AFRAID:sniff:
but as soon as i walked through the door i ordered my new leash and an ocean rodeo t shirt that was ten dollars
haha
Kites:
T-foil Trainer
HQ beamer 2m
Pansh Ace 5m (1st edition extra lifty)
Peter Lynn Venom 10m
Rides:
K2 Snowboard-K2 auto bindings-DC boots
GI Prodigy 2010 Gold and Black Vegas hubs
Wants:
A Machine that makes wind
Wind is like a drug: many people are addicted to it, too much of it and you could end up dead or in the hospital, too little of it and you\'ll go
crazy, and just the right amount makes for a good time.

That fear will go away when your skills and experience grow so you don't need it anymore. Trust it and heed it.

CJ, glad you got out today! It must have been great to get a kite in the air after being out of commission for so long.
As far as the fear. Anyone who had an injury like yours, is going to be a little scared. Keep practicing, before you know it, WW will be here!
See you soon!

A little post injury fear is normal. The big thing is to recognize it for what it is and understand that it will take some time to get over it.
And getting used to a new kite just adds to the anxiety.
Ease in and do what you can when you feel comfortable.
Just take your time and get to know the Venom and she'll treat you freakin sweet!

Saying "One more" is almost as dangerous as saying, "Dude, Watch this" Don't let the fear rule you but heed the warning and you will have more kiting
days for it. But I bet you learned that! Glad you are back in the saddle.

As awful as your accident was I think you needed that dose of reality .
Innocence is lost. Now you know that you can get hurt it will be easier to step back and say , " I can live to fly another day " !
Don't over do things. You have to still be healing ?
