Family Time?

Spent Saturday afternoon flying with my son.
After watching him butt scud 5 feet with each loop on a 2M Beamer, my wife asked to pick up the handles.

Long story short, she walked away with a big grin. Said "Pulls harder than I thought." and "Now I see why you like this so much."

After talking about what she should try "next time", I think things are looking up...

Mood: Go Fly A Kite!

if you can get the family involved that is great for you. That makes for a lot more fly time in your future :)

for the rest of us to try and balance family time and fly time can get rough. It is easy to take the family for granted since they are always around, but the wind not so much.

Sweet! Mrs Kuza just screams and tries to let go when the kite pulls ... although she did get out on the water in Thailand with a depower LEI and did some dragging ... yes I was puzzled :o

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Always has been, he will be 10 this summer. My wife works a schedule opposite me so one of us is home with the kid as much as possible. Grandparents fill in for the overlap. I usually fly alone while she is at work and he is at practice.

Exactly why I was so excited... She should be more accepting of the kid and I running off now that she gets it. :D

I only have one son. But given time to think about it, if your other boys come around, and/or you have a few more, you would have the beginning of your very own bash with each trip.:bigok:

Homemade kite and cat with a singed tail

I came home today to find my son making a garbage bag power kite. Bale rope power lines and mason line brake lines.

To cut the mason line, he used a lighter. And the cat was feeling affectionate at the time.
Result: my son, chasing a purring cat with a candle tail.

Oh, yeah. No wind.

Mood: low winds here I come

yikes!!! that lighter business is scary. love that you got the whole family out there. Hopefully the wife will give it a try this year. My oldest has little interest right now even though he got a 1.5m imp last year for his b-day and a atb for Christmas. I think his little brother will be the one to pick it up when the time comes, but who knows. It would be a dream to have the entire family hooked, so we could all go when the wind picks up. Wait trying to build a quiver for one is expensive enough let alone a quiver for five.

what I fly/ride:
19m Flysurfer Speed 2 SA
12m Flysurfer Speed2
6m Ozone access xt
1.5m Ozone imp trainer
144cm Airush Switch
152cm lib tech skate banana
MBS Pro 90
Jereme Leafe Pro 95
