Another Newbie

Hi,

Yet another newbie looking for advice. Am on the diet of all diets and as a reward for loosing weight other half bought me a powerkiting lesson. Loved it and have convinced Santa to bring me a kite. Now despite really thinking I'm too old, sensible and unfit I really fancy a go on a landboard too. Budget is about £200 but could be stretched. So I need a cheap board. But then do I get one kite (like the look of Peter Lynn Pepper 3.5) or do I push my luck with Santa and get 2 kites, one smaller, say 2m and the Peppern 4.5? Don't want to be scared silly and put off. Any advice welcome:-)

You will eventually need more than one kite if you stick with it. Most people that stay in the sport end up with at least 3, most people 5+ to cover all wind conditions.

I have heard all good stuff about the pepper, and for the price, it would be hard to beat.

As for a landboard... If you dont weigh too much. (probably under 200) you should look at the MBS core 8. Very good board for the money, retails at $249.00 which should be something like 135 pounds.

Hope this helps you.
