What would everyone recommend for a few small (less than 2inch) repairs?

I have the Tear-Aid kits
and Spinnaker tape under the kitefix brand.
Tear aid is clear, flexible and tenacious. Suitable for your size rip.
Spinnaker tape in white will be more obvious when close to the kite, but disappears in sunlight as you back away from the kite. If ti is the kind of
rip that you will want to reinforce with stitches, then use this.

I would think it to be the gold kit as well and I believe that the dacron tape you linked is the same as spinnaker tape.
