VENOM I 10M + PHANTOM 15 ...SOLD

I have been on a virtual world break for a while, certainly not a kiting break, sessions have been raging and seemingly endless. and the break yields a great kite that i just don't use enough now going up for sale.

Got a few sessions in on this V10 recently trying to work this unit into regular rotation and end up always going back to a larger unit even in heavy air. It's just not enough for my 200# on the water and much prefer the V13/CH15 or tubes and this is solely based on the power requirement to satisfy the PHUN PHACTOR.

anyway

i got this rig from BLOAH some time back, and I have about 100 hours on it. Unit is still very fresh and crispy. zips are solid and smooth. LE and pockets are perfect. It was repaired by previous owner (professional, powerzone i think), cell wall seem on belly, very tidy. Never know it.

PICS/VID in a couple days. one piece spars, and a net bag. i have a few extra venom bags and can threw that in if you like.

For a lighter rider <160# would a fun machine on the water. buggy/land board would be a supreme hook up. Very agile quick unit. loops in 30 at the blink of an eye.

BLUE/YELLOW/BLACK

$300.00, buyer pays shipping, US 48.

excellent unit, just too small for me and gales around here are brief and rare.

(this deal could include a "cult" pass along repaired Phantom 15 for an extra 100.00)

let me know, paypal (or i can except CC)

How is the safety on this one? Was hoping for a Synergy or a VII as my first but thinking about this one not knowing how "old" the safety was back in 2005.

Arcs have used some form of a flag line for years, before the venom and still in use today. Works like a charm. The safety system is really all about your bar and line setup than the kite. Arcs just respond to the safety being engaged, which is the pull going from 4 lines to only 1. When flying on only 1 of its lines the arc floats to the ground. It might spin a few times on its way but it won't fly or develop much pull after going to the flag line.

carl, just too much meat for it. it is the first kite i did unhooked loop on though. it gets me out when all else is out of the question or already spanked me but it always leaves me wanting more. i had this feeling when i got it and have given it a fair ride. just want to move it before it locks up in truck ..and 2 years later "oh! forgot i had this" and zip are locked kinda thing.

now V13 is a different story totally feel the same way about that unit.

It's either this or a 10m Synergy for me. I love the Venom series, but I'd kind of like to try something different. Anyone who has never flown a Venom or VII can expect this to be a great kite. Very grunty, stable, easy to use, gust munching machine. If you like to park n' ride then look no further. They're a bit slow turning, but pull like a truck and power is readily available. I have a modified Venom 13m and love it.

"(this deal could include a "cult" pass along repaired Phantom 15 for an extra 100.00)"

What do you mean by that?

I'd be interested, but wouldn't this create an overlap in my quiver? The 15 = my frenzy 12m and the 10=my 10.5 ion... right?

it would be a duplicate set up , with a different feel. phantom probably would be addictively stable over the lot with more float out but its seen a mountain of fly time. carl had it before me and i have had it a couple years.

I would like to think that the Phantom would serve as a good "low" wind kite, but because of the high AR, wouldn't it need about the same wind to get going as the 13m Venom?

Nah, it would generate better apparent wind that the V1. The Phanny has the same AR as the F-Arc 1200 and that thing pulls way more than the 13m V1 in my opinion.

Much faster across the window and better upwind. Not as user friendly in dirty wind and more prone to bowties.

phantom is a magic bag indeed. very big powered window for sure and once rolling it shines and seems endless. harnessed in with 15-20mph is one giant air chair. definitely more power than V13 and will give earlier powered float in the same light air.

light air on P15/V13 are really about the same for me, fills and rides in 8mph.

So it does need about the same wind as a V13 to get going? I knew that it's handling and performance would be completely different from a Venom, but I just wanted to know if the low end was any better. I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but it's a feasible comparison.
