Fitness
Being a newbie to the forums, I have already searched for topics on fitness and wellbeing but nothing much came up, so I was wondering what people
think of how their fitness levels have improved since taking the sport up.
I try and fly for at least an hour a day, wind/weather dependent of course and in the year I have been serious about it I have toned up my arms,
stomach and bum (butt for yanks) and dropped around 16lbs and find the aerobic element of it has improved my overall fitness levels.
As a 53 year old bloke (guy for the yanks) I am really pleased with my progress and wondering how all you other guys think you have improved.
I only fly powerkites - not tried boards or buggies. Presently loving a new HQ Beamer V 5metre but prior to that flew a 4metre along with a HQ
Symphony Speed 3.2 on 50metre lines.

I have the"ironman grip", but I got it from 30+ yrs of steelworking. My work is so hard ,it makes powerkiting a relaxation.

When riding regularly, my grip gets better, and I develop muscle tone in the entire core region as well as arms back, and shoulders. The weight peels
right off too. After learning to buggy I coined the phrase "buggy abs". There can't be a more fun way to get in shape.

If you ride a PL ST buggy you definitely get abs of steel since there is no comfy back rest. I have noticed my posture has improved. I was starting
to get hunched shoulders from siting at a desk staring at the computer. Traction kiting puts the back in traction.
