Scout II 3m and 35 mph gust
Evidently everyone was right about small kites and jumping. The second time I tried jumping while hooked into a harness with my Scout II 3m, I was
hit with an unexpected ~35 mph gust. The kite went straight downwind and I was pulled through high dead grass and shrubs. I learned very quickly
that finding the little red harness release ball while being violently dragged through dirt and grass is easier said than done. Fortunately, I only
scraped my forearm. I have a lot more respect for this "little" kite now.

Gust of that caliber can be a real surprise! Especially with a small kite like that. They turn so fast and you can get in trouble in a hurry. Chalk
it up as a lesson learned, live to fly another day!
