Hey Ivanpah Regulars!

Those of us from Southern Utah are convinced that we need to spend more time down there sharpening our buggy skills. I was wondering if any of you could point us to your favorite weather forcast/current conditions web site. Just don't want to make the drive without minimizing the chance of getting skunked!;-)

Holding out for the hot tub and pool. Sauna hasn't been showing up in our price range. I know a place close by with sauna like conditions in summer though.:singing:

I'm only 2 hrs away so I don't think I'll need a crash pad.

Thanks for the link Rip.

Hey Bob, when are you going to be here? Word has it you have the buggy stable I need to try out before I upgrade my ride. Trade rides for beer?

Hey dman, sorry I missed this. We are settled in now. I'd love to ride with anyone that will come out to chase them around. You are welcome to try whatever I have if it helps. Lets take advantage of the cooler weather now.

Sounds great Bob and Kent. I'll be down a bit over the next couple of months. Do many people camp out there when NABX isn't going on? Wouldn't mind draging the trailer down to get in a few days at a time.

As long as you have your permit, camping is no problem at all on the Playa. Just remember, pack it in - pack it out (including any black or grey water!!!). With the nicer weather, there will probably be some of our gang staying a couple days on the weekends anyways. We usually try to camp out on the full moon weekends. If you haven't rode on a full moon, you only have half the Ivanpah experience! :)

I find that www.noaa.gov has the most accurate forecast. But I tend to check www.weather.com and www.weatherunderground as well and average out what I find. Ivanpah has its on micro climate so there are times when it might say rain and even if its raining in Vegas it won't rain there. You can always call me if your coming down and check what's going on. My # is 702.813.6480. I camp down there a lot so if your planning on coming we can plan something out there. Not that Casa Muse isn't a nice place to stay. You just can't beat waking up and putting up a kite straight away.
