Thank You!!!

Finally back from Nabx and Las Vegas and getting my self out of vacation mood.

I have yet to update my blog or start the movie editing (still need footage from the BC Crew)

However its time to sit and reflect those that make every NABX possible and the best every year. In no order of importance but you're all important (I have to remember everything that went on over the course of 10 days minus the drinking moments (there was lots of those).

Dean : for all your hard work over the year to put this together. get well soon.

NABX Crew : Chef, Scott, Blake, Lenka, Slawek, Mama and anyone else in the tent because I cant remember your names for the life of me. Also for stepping up to the plate in Dean's absence.

De Dutch (Arie, Ozzy and Ruudje) : without you guys I would have the memories I do today. You guys keep stepping it up a notch every year and help teach those around you. You better come back again and again.
All though it was weird seeing Arie worry more about having SUN than WIND scared me a little. We did have our 400am wake up call for WIND only to have a few runs in before it died off.

Peter Lynn (Marijn / Michel) : for all the team riders (John, Jeroen) that you sent over and making the Flyboarding Competition a photo section. all the new toys that you let riders play with.

Flexifoil : wow, you guys did so much this year (Craig, Will and Dave). its always good to see you guys. also for setting up a ramp for jumping and more photo sections. Wicked Party Night

HQ (Chris / Nic) : for putting on another party

SKA : I dunno what you put in your beer but after 3 glasses I wasnt seeing straight. I could drink more Rum + Coke that. Thx for the glass give-a-way. Dino you can have mine for a low low price of $100.00 + free autographes

BC Crew : Ken 2, Ken 3, Grant, Ron, Gerald, Tim and Markus for showing folks what Kanada has to bring. But also showing the international pilots a great time.

East Coast Kanada : Mark, Ziggy it was a blast to see you guys again and ripping it up the playa.

Dino : whats NABX without our show. we are now legends with our rivalry and we need more material for next year. start planning now. thank you for buying the OZ Kite, I know I started the bid high and capped out at 750.00. You stepped in big time to help Dean out.

PL NZ (Matt / Gavin) : thx for bring back the Black P-enis again. also Matt for getting me all my carbon pieces to finally put my freestyle buggy together. its been a long awaited carbon downtube.

Adam : if was finally good to meet you. You had so much energy and drive to learn. You went from the kid I knew to Pro over the past year. Congrads on winning 3rd place in the Flyboarding Comp its was some tough competitors to go up against.

Beaverbob / Wexler : finally you have stepped up and taken off the skirt and have come a long way since.

Glenn : I have no words for you, your a ball of laughs all to your own. Although I couldn't understand you half the time, it was a blast.

PTW : it was fun having you finally here, with years of talk we finally did it. I enjoyed chasing you up and down the playa. I heard about a secret movie to be released.

Mark / Kieron : you guys were great. thank so much for building the custom OZ kite for raffle. It was fun hanging out with you guys in Las Vegas after everyone else left. Who would have thought you guys like Sushi. Wicked pics and movies coming out too check Vimeo.

All those that partied with us under the PL Tent or at the Hanging Tree every night : Marc, CeCe, Josh, Sean (love the Dora stickers), Dirk, Papa, I cant remember that much.

Alex and Jolie : thanks for coming out, hopefully I taught you a few things. MUCH THX for the HANGOVER for two - three nights. =)

Kent (A Wind Of Change) : for housing my stuff since Feb and keeping all the gear for Peter Lynn again.

Lama (Corey) : what would buggy town be without the Mayor

Fast Freddy : thx again for picking up garbage or as Dean say M.O.O.P. I swear all candy wrappers where Dino's.

Most importantly to those that win big prizes who took into their hearts about Dean and handed it back to raise money. You all are the reason we're a KITE FAMILY.

Ill have to revisit this post again and again as my memory comes back.

Until Next Year!!! :wee:

Well another year done and already starting to plan next...

I have only just arrived home after a long ass killing road trip. After meeting the family in Vegas after NABX we spent a day on the strip and then drove to Disneyland. We then headed up the California coast (the scenic rout) and after heading up highway #1 (the really twisty one) got to the north end just to be told the highway had been washed out and had to turn around and backtrack for a day and a half after that we just stuck to the I-5. We had planned on stopping at some of the beaches up the coast but my Buggy had a broken axle so there was no real reason to stop. 6500 KM later and a truck loaded to the roof both the back and the front we made it home. I think next year I'm flying, we have a year to figure out the shipping logistics.

I just wanted to say that I was a pleasure meeting all the new people and seeing all the old faces again, Popeye and Denise, Van and all the others. Nocando my daughter thanks you for the stuffed toy, she plays with it all the time.
This year I didn't manage to beat my PB. but it wasn't for lack of trying......... next year. Also next year I will have an Out N Back badge. It was a blast heading out with Popeye, Brian and the BC crew. Oh and Freeman who took a wicked face plant but recovered enough to make it back to camp.

To the organizers, Thanks for a job well done, the food was great, the parties where huge fun, nothing beats good people and free beer.

Now I'm off to clean my kites and gear and fix my buggy, let the summer begin.

BC crew come and get your stuff out of my garage.;)

Hope to see most of you on the beaches this summer
