Spring 2012
Buggying with a great bunch of people is always a good time. But I submit we should consider a May date for next Spring. A lot of frozen asses this
round, doable, but not comfortable. Merely a suggestion.

Yeah but... May SHOWERS? :frog:
I'll be there whenever the heck it is with bells on (and no headache, coughing or NyQuil)
Hell, I didn't even kite yet this weekend and I barely know where I am and I am having a hell of a time.
Thanks again everyone and ECKS for making these gathering so great!

Well it is what it is and tourist season starts in May. Temps today were in the 50's...and it's been a blast. No complaints here. Dress for the
occation and enjoy.

Couple things to consider. April will probably have more wind due to the turbulent spring weather. May will be much more crowded as its closer to the
opening of the season.
April was chosen this year so that people can attend both JIBE and WBB. Just because we got some nasty weather this year doesnt mean next year will be
the same. I'd say, so we dont coincide with JIBE next year, that we consider April again next year....
Or not... I dont really care. I'll be there whenever...

I can consider April 18-21 for JIBE 2012, as the weather here is fine then and that week has afternoon low tides. Then y'all can do WBB in May when
it might be warmer for you. There are some weekends with afternoon low tides to choose from. Think about it.

No need Angus and thank you anyways. I feel rest assured that the majority of the group doesn't wish to fight with an overcrowded beach and trench
diggers in Wildwood. Very much to echo Michaels post; I don’t think we can base this decision merely on one event just because someone is too cold.

Ahhh yeah, forgot about the crowds for you. We start to get traffic then too but there is still space. Looked like you guys had a good event. Cheers.

Well I also echo Ricks comments. If you weren't kiting it was simply too cold to enjoy yourself. The bash has been in May for a while without issue. I
also feel that if anybody has their family with them, there are other activities like the boardwalk and such to keep them occupied. And then the
kiters can focus on kiting and not entertaining their bored families. In April wildwood is still pretty much a ghost town.
I don't think fighting the cold and nuking winds is really too much fun at all... Just sayin...

number of people on the hard pack w/ us flyin by em'. NOT good at all! It is just a matter of time before it happens. And we all know what I'm
talkin' about. It scares me so bad ,I don't even want to type it.. I think May is a disaster waitin to bite us all. Just to be warmer......

I had a guy somehow come up behind me while I was showing another non-kiter how to fly a 2M Beamer, (last spring)and lay down right behind
me. When I almost stumbled over him, he started with the "HEY, I'M SUNNING MYSELF HERE!" With long pants on, he had taken his shirt off. I'm pretty
sure he was one of the fun police that hate to see anyone having fun. Yeah, warmer weather brings out more kooks. I need a small, more efficient
kite (buggydanny got incredible power from that 2M JoJo, but he's quite a pilot) and long johns and I'll be cool in April!

No doubt a ton better in April! I really enjoyed having nearly the entire beach to ourselves on Thursday and Friday. I echo Donnies earlier

FYI: Charming Cape May is just a few miles down the road and a great YEAR ROUND tourist spot for the non-kiting family members to spend the
day.....and a good destination when the weather is poor.
Everything is within walking distance...boardwalk, games, mansion tours, shops, restaurants, etc.
I dropped off the family to shop, site see, and dine, last fall while I buggied and eveyone was happy
