new toy
After making kites for over 10 years I thought it was time to add another sewing machine so I bought an industrial one this time. Now I can make new
toys like buggy seats, bags and other things out of heavy material. I am in the process of gathering some heavy material right now. Here is a
picture of my new machine.

cool. What type of thread do you use? Nylon?? and where do you get it? I don't have a machine but I do want to splice some leaders and I'm
wondering what type of thread to lock stitch it with?

Hey Susan,
On that industrial stand, how fast does it sew? Like, make you nervous fast? Looks to be straight stitch. Does it handle light fabric OK? Finally,
out of curiousity, what is your preferred machine for your NPW's and do you generally sew your kite seams straight, zig, zag, or something else?
Thanks,
krumly

It can sew several thousand stitches per minute but, I can regulate the speed.
Yes, it is straight stictch.
Still in the testing phase on what it likes to sew on.
My go to machine a a pfaff that is over 25 years old.
I sew a straight stitch.

Thanks Susan. An old Pfaff 262 is my machine of choice for most heavier stuff and sewing bridle ends, but I also have a 1222E with walking foot for
the light work on the sails. That new machine looks like it would be the bomb for heavy work.
