Thanks to the people at WWBB

Spending the weekend on the beaches of New Jersey is much different than the playa, but it is unique in its own way. When the tide is out and the wind is 25mph blowing on shore you can't ask for anything better.

I would like to thank the riders for making it a fun event:

Rich Miller: thank you so much for organizing the whole event, you did a wicked good job making things run smoothly. I don't think everybody knows how much work you put into everything

Todd Stevick: thanks for getting the Bash started, i know you were feeling the greatest but it was still awesome to see you out riding with everybody and leading a mob of buggiers across the beach

Lee and Crisi, thanks for the awesome photos and driving us out to the beach, i know it was wicked cold, but you are much appreciated by all

Pirate Don and Wifey, you guys were so funny, thanks for the ride to the grocery store, i will never forget that!

Scott, its awesome to see somebody progress so quickly on a board, i love when guys use peter lynn products and get a perma grin

Kober, what a funny guy! Learned how to rip it up on a board this weekend

Paul (doublespeed360) haulin balls down the beach spinning 360s putting on a good show for spectators

Danny, its always nice to see guys who can ride hard and still act with much professionalism towards the community. thanks for being a great kitesports ambassador

Labrat: thanks for the encouragment, it goes further than you know

Frathouse: wicked cool dude! riding the waves in freezing water

Jaymz: I've never met someone who always has a smile on their face like you do man, i hope your charger treats you well.

Anderson and Chuddy: sorry the wind was nuking, but its always great to see you guys again

Bobalooie: lol what a funny dude. he is a riot

There were so many other people who cooked us food and brought free drinks to the bash, thank you so much.

I hope to see you all next year, and you guys should really consider going to NABX. It would be great to see everyone in one spot together

To Beth, Lando and Kobar: Thank you so much for the kind thought behind this, it completely tugged at the heart strings. There are some really special people out there in this group and I hope what I said at the BBQ soaks in. Let's keep this fire going!

Thank you again to all that stepped up to assist and those who just showed up. Good to see everyone again!

Could not agree more- thanks to all of the ecks guys for putting this together especially Rich and Todd- great Job. But my biggest Thank you is to Adam- my goal for the weekend was to make some controlled jumps on the landboard and ride them out. In about 15 minutes of Adams one-on-one instruction i was able to get the load, launch, and redirect down. Even had one big air that i landed on the board- did not ride away but was really fun. Adam's help allowed me to have a perma grin for the whole weekend cant wait to do it again. :D

I couldn't agree more, or have said it better! It was great to get back to Wildwood and get with all my kite family, and even if the wind was a little too "Wild" for me to ride a lot, (I got a few runs in, but never felt in control) I had a great time watching the guys with mad skills and huge ones tearing up the beach at high speed! I see why Claude's banners say GO FAST!, why Paul's name here is Doublespeed360, throwing those 360's and 720's at speed, Adam, amazing airs! The East Coast Kite Sports crew, Rich, Rian, Todd, Lee, Crisi, Chad and all else who worked so hard to make a great time for all, to Van, PL, HQ Kites(Chris and Craig, always fun and smiling, tearing it up!)for the great raffle prizes . Chuda and Anderson for great pics!(My helmet cam went on the blink just last week, so I got no pic's, myself) Joecat for exposing a whole new generation to our sport, spreading the addiction. The people I have not mentioned are not forgotten, you all are what make the bash what it is, so THANKS!

Hey Bladerunner, thanks for asking about me,,,,yep, im still here...I have to tell ya, this sport is one of the few things, hobbie wise, I have really stuck with. You guys know better than me that once you still and do it, it only gets better each time you go out......Im pretty sure Im still the only local that rides here, Don was out on the Wildwood beach before I was, and I was suprized the first time I saw him riding the beach. I had a fantasic time at the bash, even with only getting down there two days, because of work and such.........talk to you later....

I think I can speak for Anderson too when I say we had a great time. As most have said above, just a great group of people doing what they love - can't ask for more than that.

Adam - Looking forward to getting a raincheck on that session. Someday man!

Rich - thanks for staying up on Wed for us and for all your hard work.

Even though I never put a kite up, I still don't regret making the 7 hour trek down there. Missed work today and will tomorrow too - Dr's orders for this sinus inf. and bronchitis - and all I can think of while mending is WHEN THE HELL IS OCT 22nd GOING TO GET HERE!

No kites left :(
Maybe someday I'll snowkite again

Chud head down to The Vitamin Shoppe and pick up a bottle of Braggs Organic Apple Cidar Vinager. Add a teaspoon to a glass of juice and a teaspoon of local organic honey. choke it down and in a couple of weeks you won't even measure it. Just mix it up by eye and drink it. You will feel way better all the time. No more alergies or synus problems.
I'm not a Dr. But I don't play one on TV. I just know this stuff make the world a better place spring and fall. And all year long.
We hope you feel better soon.

F un fun fun time. Amazing watching the HQ guys , Claude and you other guys on the north shore beach
At one time 3 buggies going east and 3 buggies going west passed thru each other full speed a buggy width appart , Morgan shouted "thats impossible". I laughed "hey man it just happened right in front of your face". Just amazing!
Found a slight flaw in the speed buggy , NO BRAKES, and no side sliding to bleed off speed. I was happy just to be able to test it a little and not break it or me .
Thanks Todd , Rich , Rian , ECKS , Chris , HQ , Van, Adam, Traveler, and every one for another great event!

Dr. Dave, You must of stayed in the Holiday Inn Express? ;)

Had a great time Friday and Saturday on the beach and can't wait for The Fall WWBB. The show of talent out there was amazing.

Would like to Thank Rich and Todd and the ECKS crew for all they do to get this thing up and rolling. Todd seems to be at home behind a grill. Maybe he was just trying to keep warm? Thanks Bud.

Thank you Rando for the tasty homebrew and those personalized labels. Big hit Sat. night and nice crowd in the room till after 1am. I was feeling it Sunday morning.

The Nahant Crew for always representing at these events and showing your talents. Paul is the spin doctor and Dan the speed deamon. Dan, Thanks for taking my son for the long ride Saturday. He REALLY enjoyed it. I couldn't keep up solo. Hope to see Dean next time. Sorry he missed this one.

Claude for making the trip south of the border and showing off those Canadian skills.

JoeCat for keeping the WW scene alive and well getting the local youth involved.

Adam for making the long trip and helping the landboard and peter Lynn newbies progress. You had challenging conditions Saturday and shined with those big airs.

Traveler, yes we checked your Driver's License, Thanks for making the trip and putting on a great seminar Saturday. Good job. You seemed to be right at home sleeping in the Volvo Saturday night. I went out around 1:30am to charge my laptop and see kiteboards moving around in the car next to me. Then out pops Traveler "Whats up man!" Sorry to wake you bud.

Van, HQ, and all the others for donating all the great raffle prizes. You guys rock.

Anderson for being the "now official" event photographer. Great pictures.

Kober, my local riding buddy who is great company as you all found out, and keeps me from riding our local beach alone. Thanks Pal.

Thanks to all the freinds and families that attended WWBB Spring '11. Just keeps getting better and better. What a great family.

See you all in October...or sooner.

Although I wasn't prepared for the cold weather (80 degrees in houston when I left), I did enjoy the company of the WBB family. I felt so comfortable being around everyone like being with old friends. I'm already planning for the fall. I know a few of you wanted seats and I did take some measurements but I might have missed someone. U2U me to make sure I got your measurements. I met so many good friends there I couldn't keep up with the names and faces so please forgive me and remind me of who you are. I have to ask my wife what my kid's names are all the time.

My son Henry had a blast there. If you met him, you would remember the little booger. He thought the ECKS group was great, especially the 2 little girls that he got phone numbers from!! He's only 5 !! I never got phone numbers when I was 5, I was out in the rice fields in vietnam getting sun burned :o

Now that I am back home and have caught up at work I need to thank everyone who made the WBB a success. I know that Rich and Todd put in a lot a work behind the scenes and really deserve our praise. I am sure that there are also many others that help out and also need thanks.

Personally I want to thank Rich for hooking me up with a 2M Jojo, I owe him a big favor. He scooped it off PKF a last month knowing I broke mine last bash and surprised me with it. It was the right kite for the conditions we had and it was the only kite I used all weekend. It flies great and without it my buggying would not been as sweet.

As amazing as the kiting was, the people were the highlight of the bash for me. It was great to spend time with some old friends and make new ones. For me its worth the trip to just hag with everyone even if we get skunked or rained out.

There were many highs that stood out for me:

The people.

It was great to see how effortlessly Adam boards and gets big air, I really should of attend his workshop.

I was amazed at Van's craftsmanship and the high level of buggy crafting he has achieved so quickly. I really wanted to demo one of his buggies, perhaps next time.

Travelers workshop was very informative and spending some time talking kites with him was a pleasure.

The cookout witch was a great success despite mother nature trying to ruin our party.

It was great to start a friendship with Claude. He is such a talented kiter; I am sure we will see him again and he will bring others with him.

Many other highs, but I really have to get back to work. Hope to see some of you before the fall.

Bobalooie, I owe you a better ride. I think that my bearings gave up at the end of the day. They were howling and we were not going as fast as we should have with that wind. And Congrats, I noticed your new signature.

My first opportunity to sit since the Bash. Thank you for the videos of things we missed.

Well, I must start by saying “Thank You” to the ECKS crew. It was great to meet the group. It’s work to attend and enjoy, I am grateful for the effort put forth by the organizers to make the event possible. It was my first bash and enjoyed by my whole family.
Thank you:
Rich for your guidance in my planning for the event.
Rian for handling the tee shirts.
Todd was very helpful all around. I did not think you were going to make it. Glad I got to meet you. Happy healing.
Lostfox was very helpful in giving me options for the cold wife and kids.
It was nice to meet up with Don again.
Flyjump was all over guiding new kiters advancement. Thank you for your insight. I cannot believe that I missed every time you were out...
Kober was fun to talk to on the beach and took the acceptance speech award as declared by my wife.
Frathouse was very welcoming.
Van, HQ, PL, and Chudalicious for the raffle donations. It was a very entertaining raffle and I won the #12 kite stake. Thank you ma’am.

What a whirlwind for me, I met many others that I did not mention and missed people I was looking for.
Clearly my first but not last bash. Fall is teetering on the edge to off the table, but my wife is talking about making a longer weekend of Spring 2012.

Enjoy the ride,
Corey

Kober, it was great having you at the bash to join the gang! You fit right in with out a doubt! I am curious to hear about you unfortunate adventures in Atlantic City! You can tell us all about it when you are at the fall bash Celebrating your Bday Wildwood buggy bash style!

Claude, I can't tell you how much I as well as many others enjoyed meeting you and even more so enjoyed watching you rock it out on North Beach on Friday! It will be great to see you again at the fall bash!
