Which Arc?

Ok so, I've been chasing the elusive P15 for a while now and so far no luck. I'm starting to think fate may be trying to tell me something.

I want to check things out on the D'Arc side. I know I'm going to need something 15m+ because of the locations and conditions I have to fly in. The question now becomes which arc do I get? I want something that would be somewhat arc beginner friendly yet still on the lifty side of things. I'd also want it to be somewhat nible as the fields I fly are usually tight spaces.

Any advice?

You can never go wrong with the venoms......

the scorpion is similar to the phantoms in that they are good park and ride style kites. tthey still have wicked lifting capabilities if you want. they have a higher aspect ratio, but not quite as high as the phantom

For a nimble kite i would go with a 15 synergy or charger. they have really fast turning for their size and lift if you want it. the chargers and synergies have better low end compared to other arcs.

synergys are good for beginner to advanced. very stable.

chargers are wicked awesome. fast turning, good low end, lifty, just a good all round machine for whatever surface you are riding on. they still have the autozenith capabilities as older arcs but you still need to pay more attention to them since they a really responsive.

just make sure whatever size of arc that you get, that you find one with a bar length that suits it. the PL bars definatly compliment the kites well.

good luck on your search!

I've heard the older PLs referred to as far more forgiving than the fast turning chargers. To quote Bladerunner - "the other kites gave you enough time to undo what you just did if you happen to have second thoughts"

Me thinks you'd love a V13/V16 V1 or V2.

the 19 V2 and your bug/board wll make a nice combo.................or since your going big a 15m Speed 2/3 would work as well..................the V2 has tip adjustments the V doesnt have, better low end, tighter/faster turns..........

plenty lifty with good float... turns fast enough to loop... buggy in 3-4 mph, board in 5-6... high end of the spectrum is about 15 on board on hardpack... not sure about the buggy...

comes with right-sized bar and lines, too

The 19m V2 is a really great kite. More PA than any of the Arcs produced after.

One of the best Arcs for light wind or big kid applications and it will turn well on the long bar. Good low end but still ahs enough depow to handle some stout winds dependin on your commitment and skill levels. ;-)

16m for me at 200 lbs on snow was a little less power than I like. The 19m had the extra when I wanted it.

Turn rate is a hell of a lot slower than a VPC equipped Arc but you can mod it with a no stitch VPC.

http://www.arcusers.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27

Sometimes I miss my 19 V2 on light wind days. (Till I snap a turn on the Charger hehehehe)

It would seem the sensible thing to do would be to forget the phantom 15 for now and score a V2 19 to develop some arc skills first. Then maybe mod the V2 once said skills start to develop, THEN look into some other arcs. I've never been known to do the sensible thing but it just makes sense here lol

Have a 12m Synergy, I like it good for static flying or a buggy engine......but others will know more about what you need than I do, I just dig my synergy and there are several that have popped up for reasonable rates
