I've not flown either kite, though I have flown the Imp 3-line trainer on a bar(3.5M, which I modified to fly on bar or handles). I'd have to say that with price between the two being so close, and both companies produce quality kites, this one(for me anyway) comes down to which one you like to look at more! Either will be an excellent choice to start on, though I wouldn't rule out HQ's Beamer 5 series as an additional choice, to make the decision even harder...:wink2:

I have flown both kites. It would be a simple decision for me, so my opinion doesn't count.

IMO, the Ozone is a better build quality but the PKD may have a bit more power. It really depends on what you are planning on doing with the kites. Knowing that, we would be able to make a better suggestion to you and your needs.

I haven't spend near enough time on the Buster but have had many hours on the IMP. The IMP is a low aspect ratio kite that is super stable and very easy to fly. Power is good, you can buggy with it just fine but upwind performance is not near as good as some of the other kites. Build quality is superb and the kite is designed for beginners who are still in the crashing stages of flying. It can take a huge amount of beatings. The Soulfly is a slightly higher aspect ratio, not quite as stable as the IMP but still very stable and super easy to fly. It does produce a bit more power and is a little faster through the window. Both kites are fairly equal in performance though.

If they are priced the same, I would go for the Ozone just because of the build quality. For higher performance I would probably step up to another model of kite. Again, it depends on what you plan on doing with the kites that would matter.
