Is there any sturdy way to mount a GoPro onto a board handle????? It seems that a lot of time I have the camera pointed to low or too high, when it's on my head....The only downfall would be that I carry the board with it, but I could work around it. I'm thinking the video might be less shaky that way as I tend to move my head a ton.

p.s. I was thinking the roll bar mount, but not sure if it goes that small

I've used my superclamp to attach it. A handle bar clamp is way too small but the roller bar might work, but my guess is it's too big and would roll anyway. One thing I did notice with the camera on the board itself was that there was way too much vibration. You can use the board suction cup? if your board has flat area big enough and like a glass top? but as said above vibration is the big issue.

If you're going to mount the GoPro to your board, you might want to leash that thing to a fixed point like around the handle or a footstrap with zip tie or something. My buddy mounted his GoPro HD Hero using the GoPro board mount and included dual-sided 3m tape, and when he landed a wake-style trick the camera came right out of the *slot* on the mount. Now it's sitting at the bottom of Belton Lake. He knows for a fact he snapped it into place properly and 'locked' it with that rubber thingy. When I mount my HD Hero to my kite or board, I use zip ties and anchor to various points just to be double/triple sure I'm not losing that camera.

Actually, he's offering a reward if it's found. He went out to look for it the following weekend with snorkel gear and a SUP, but the water's murky to begin with, and once the silt was stirred up it was game over =/

I was just looking at those big round board mounts and see there is a second, triangular piece that attaches as a backup to the big mount and has a lanyard to the camera in case it lets go. That's what I assumed anyway.

Good to know about the vibration though......especially if you were about to stick a big round do-dad on a nice piece of board only to never use it. Is the vibration from the board itself or is there wobble with the foam tape which causes the vibration? I know with my ATK camera the wobble was because the mounts were not very solid.

Thanks guys!!! I was worried that there might be vibration issues, didn't think there would be that much. I bought that surf mount but gonna use it on my snowboard instead.The plate is just too big for my liking. Once I get skills balanced I'm thinking that a backpac mount could do the trick. My recent videos have been making me dizzy watching them. Losing the camera into the drink really has me worried. Read a few too many stories of it happening, think it'll stay on the helmet when I'm kiteboarding. I'm gonna try a couple metal hose clamps to mount on the atb handle. If it works I'll let you guys know.
