Blokart Races?
Any interest in having the Blokart races during SBBB/ NABX?
I think we can bring another 60 or so registrants.
The NALSA reception of the Blokarters was rather cool last year, they might welcome the opportunity to hang out with the "much cooler" kite buggiers
this year.
WE only need a small section to run our races, the Playa is huge, should not be a problem.
Let me knoow the groups feelings on the matter.

Jason,
I think it would be great to have the BloKarts out with us.
Please remind all that we frown on sailing in the area designated for automobiles.
We prefer to camp along the access road, not back in the brush, and use that barrier to separate the open playa from the parking area.
By creating and maintaining a safe environment, we reduce the opportunities for accidents.
By doing it amongst ourselves, by ourselves, we eliminate the need for outsiders to try to control how we play.
I am sure looking forward to sharing the playa with all my brothers and sisters (for a week).
Safen Up! Buggy On!

Hello Tigger,
The "thing" is called in fact an "international event" that require a hell of an
organization, and again, my hat off to the organizers.
You will find all info needed at: http://www.nabx.net/
Corey........ you got that right again, we don't mind sharing........... the BloKarts
can stay on the eastern side of the access road, the rest of the Playa ............. for us :D :D :D

BLokart event combined w/ NABX
Hi Jason and all,
Jason, what a great opportunity you have uncovered!
Sponsored in part by blokart International, the primary spring blokart sailing event is set to be the blokart Western Regional Championships and Rally
on March 24, 25 and 26 in Southern California. The great thing as a result is that now blokart sailors will have the chance to try both types of
sailing in a short period of time. Based on the successful NZ Open, the California event will be tight track racing with rolling starts, spectators,
and lots of action. Plenty of laughs and the chance to show our sport to an undiscovered audience.
Those blokart sailors who can make it, can then head for Ivanpah for a taste of the wide open and free speed runs that the desert offers. The fun of
long courses, camping, BBQ’s and relaxation all for the taking. With the known crossover interest between kite buggying (did I spell that right!) and
blokart sailing, it makes a lot of sense.
Here’s an idea…..I checked the internet, and one way flights from most So Cal airports to Las Vegas are $39. For those kite buggy folks who are also
blokart sailors, or are interested in it, and want to come to the California event, Class Action Racing will provide our trailer to transport blokarts
and gear to Ivanpah for the following week. People can fly to Vegas on the 26th or 27th , and their blokarts will show up the next day and ready for
action! We can also supply a few xtra blokarts at the Regionals for any Kite Buggy people who would like to give it a try.
The rumor down under is that a few kiwis might make the flight (no pun intended) if they can get a taste of both venues…..
We will be finalizing and announcing the location of the Regionals in the next few weeks. Check www.classactionracing.com for updates.
Jason, if you can point me in the right direction within the kite buggy group, I will get in touch and assist in organising if you think that
appropriate. We can promote the Buggy event on our website and at the California event, and possibly vice versa.
Always open to ideas…As I live in New Zealand, if anyone wants to chat, email me your phone number, and I will give you a call..
Great stuff!

blokart event planned for SOCAL 3-24,25,26
The Blokarters are running an event in SOCAL and are going to come to NABX after the event which meshes very well with NABX. I have instructed them
to register for NABX if they plan on attending. The blokart event overlaps the pre-event @ Elmers, but ends in time to make some lakebeds on the way
to Ivanpah. Fran and I are trying to see if we can do both events. (maybe Glenn too)
Prepare for some extra guests, hopefully.
