Slipped and fell of the curb must be the USA equivalent of a "bit of a slap" in the UK
Tide? What's a tide? Man, it's 1000 miles to any ocean.

two broken arms
a broken ankle
a broken leg
several missing teeth
possible broken ribs
multiple contussions
assorted lacerations
a broken nose
a broken jaw
"...injuries he sustained when he fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine."
The question arises... who had a harder job keeping a straight face.... the booking officer or the reporter that typed that.
Someone has a real low opinion of the population's mean IQ.
Use of a knife in a crime to duck the automatic penalties a gun charge incurs (in most municipalities) is a thread unto itself, and probably better
left for another forum.

While this all makes us feel great, I read that paper frequently after living and working there for over 6 years and can't turn up anything in the
search of The Augusta Chronicle. A google search however has it showing up on several joke sites. Nice find Kami!

Actually it wouldn't have made me feel all that great.
However, for the sake of accuracy, with all the Paul Bunyan & Pecos Bill additives removed...

Yeah is a joke apparently ... I'm sure it's happened though.
There was a guy in NZ who robbed a lawn bowls club and got smacked down and captured by a pensioner till the cops - and reporters - arrived. He
petitioned to get name and photo suppression - his reason? He wouldn't be able to hold his head up with pride amongst his cell block mates (I kid you
not) - but in a rare move of poetic justice, got a front page full colour story instead
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
