Set of lines and handles for NPW---FOUND
Hey,
I am looking for a set of flying lines (that preferably come with a set of handles) for a 6m NPW9b.
I am from SK, Canada, so someone in Canada would be preferred, but not totally necessary.

Ripsession sells lines + handles . Richmond B.C. but they ship fast? http://www.ripsessionkiteboarding.com/
When you say you want NPW lines what are you looking for ? I fly mine on short lengths of Qline ? If that is what you are after I can drop some Qline
off with KiteMamma . I don't have handles for you but you can get them delivered from her for about $20?
If you go this route please let me know by Monday or I won't see Mamma to drop off Qline until the next weekend.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply.
Well I am pretty new to things in kiting and on this forum... not sure who you mean by Kitemamma. Kitemamma = ripsession???
And what do you mean by short? The first NPW9B I made is a 2m and I just used some 250lb dacron line (very stretchy) about 20 meters long. I think
that this is a decent length but stretchy line + 20 mph wind + letting go of handle because I am new = flying handle of death!
I guess I'd appreciate some advice from other NPW pilots on what is a good length... ripsession has some 17.5 M lines on sale here http://www.ripsessionkiteboarding.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BDS-Lineset
that look good. If anyone has some used handles that would be good too.
Thanks for the offer on the q-line... never heard of it. I wouldn't need it right away, I am still building my 6m, won't be done for at least a
couple of weeks.
Cheers,
D

Hi dawicks, I regularly fly the NPW's and I use lines from 20m on down to flying right off the handles(just a short loop larksheaded from handle to
bridle). Longer lines = more time in the power zone, so pulls harder. Shorter lines = faster through the window, so somewhat less pull. I usually
use longer lines in lighter winds. I have some of the 17.5M Vector lines from rip, they work great on all my NPW's. For handles, I traced the
angle/profile from a set of HQ handles I had, and had a plumber friend with a heat gun bend me two sets from 3/4" sch. 40 pvc pipe, then used a strong
poly line for leaders. That Q-power line is a quality line that comes in bulk, so vaious lengths/strengths can be made up. Good luck, and I can't
wait to see your 6M in action.

Sorry,
Ripsession ( Richard ) on here is now working for Peter Lynn and therefore had to leave the shop .Welllll They live in the shop . KiteMamma (
Maria ) is his wife. She + her team call the shots at Ripsessionkites + stay 1 step ahead of Richard's promises now. So .... it is business as usual.
:D
Qline is kite line that you can knot without having to sleeve it. Great with NPW because changing up line length is one of the best ways to affect
performance.
You can certainly Fab' handles but at $15 a pair, I am not sure it is worth it ? Manufactured handles are comfy and cheap.

My handle and lines are in the mail. Thanks for the advice all.
I'll post pics when I get my 6m all done up nice. Also can't wait to fly my 2m NPW on these lines... will handle a lot different than the
streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetchy dacron lines I am using.
