Flysurfer FLYRACE reveiw
kind of speechless after my 1st few sessions on it... but i'll try to sum it up.
awesome
ok the board definately takes getting used to.... its unlike anything i've ever rode or even stood on.... but once you get it.... its amazing.
upwind is probably double what you can do on a large board or a door. once you put the dagger down the upwind is unprecedented.
downwind, its super scary with the dagger down, but pull it up (like you're supposed to) and you can really scream down wind. i never got the noze to
submurge even when leaning foreward over the tip and shifting the weight foreward.
you cant ride it like a traditional board.... i noticed you must have equal weight on both feet and in order to steer you need to use your front leg
to guide the noze rather than try to slide the back of the board around.... in fact once you try to edge, you face plant. the dagger bites so hard
into the water you are forced to ride the board different. but its worth it... what a cool feeling and major upwind advantage.
basically Eddy is a genious, i hope Flysurfer pattened the heck out of these designs.... this is gonna catch on big time !

out again on the FlyRace today.... Speed2 15m 6knots..... touring all over the bay all alone, but loving it. watching all other kites fall out of
the sky and floating along as the wind dropped....
FlyRace comes thru again.
awesome.

a friend has a cab race 183 and he owns the ENTIRE 5mile beach section we ride in like 8knts . the windsurf guys (2) rigged huge are like slogging
along and this guy is just burning it up crazy!
the FLYRACE TT set up is brilliant . the downwind snatch over factor has got to be high.
the cab race thing requires wind board skills. i can ride it(barely) but not like the owner.

the board rides very flat, so you're kind of just standing there. not edging or trying to keep your edge like on a normal board, so reaching down to
adjust the handle is easy from a balance perspective. however if you're loaded up and ripping along, the dagger has so much force on it from the
water that you can not move it. you must bear off downwind to relieve the pressure on the dagger then you can move it.
it sounds strange to say, but it seems like we need 19m or 21m kites anymore.... apparently a 15m will be enough with this FlyRace
attached is an overlay of the 90minute session just afew days ago.
approximately 20miles covered
wind direction was Due South, notice the upwind angle averaging 45 degrees

upwind 45 degrees in only 6 kts is really sick...........................looked to be an awesome sesh John.........................I would say an eye
opener for other kiters but Im sure you were the only one around..........................................
makes perfect sense to relieve dagger pressure to retract would require going downwind.......................awesome, what are the board deminsions?
Charleston just had there first kite race with more to follow......you should try to get out here and set up your booth for FSer and the
Flyracer.........................
