I keep changing my mind about what kite to get!

I'm a complete beginner, I want to get a 4 line traction kite for landboarding, what kite should I get?

Nothing to expensive!

In the fine tradition of answering questions with questions:

• Have you flown powerkites before, if so which ones?
  
• Do you already have a landboard?
  
• Previous skateboard or mountainboard experience?
  
• Are you already sorted for helmet, pads, gloves, etc.
  
• How much do you weigh?
  
• What are the typical winds in your area?
  
• Smooth coastal winds, inland and gusty or something else?
  
• Too expensive is a relative term, if you could narrow down a budget either for just the kite and or whatever else you need, it might help in getting you pointed in the right direction.
  
• Bonus points: What's Jessica Alba's phone number?
  

The constant changing you mind of what kite to get is the kid in the candy store effect that never really gets much better.

P.S If you give a rough idea of where you are located, there could already be flyers in your area which might make it possible to try out some gear before spending your hard earned money.

No i'v never flown a power kite before.
I don't have a landboard.
I'v used a landboard once before and i'v used a skateboard about 10 times.
I haven't got any safety gear yet but I'm going to order everything I need when I'm ordering the kite and board.
I weigh 196 Lb.
I live in a costal town in the North of Scotland so we usually get winds of about 20-40kph.
Smooth costal winds.
Since it's my first kite, I have a small budget of £200 ($330 is you live in the US).
Unfortunately, I don't have Jessica Alba's phone number! Sorry

Yeah, I live in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland. The beach if great here because it's usually hard sand!

Darren,

HQ Beamer would be a great choice to learn on then progress to your board. As others have said learn the kite and wind window. Try to do this a adding the board will lead to frustration and most likely injury. Most here are in it for life so take it slow and easy, it will come.......good luck!

I think that for your needs HQ Scout2 would be perfect. Remarkable kite for beginners, telling you from my experiences. He uses the control bar (better for landboarding than handles) with the harness loop and kite kiler, very easy to handle, very stable, excellent turning speed, and what is important very safe. This is me after four or five flights, the wind was very low, I thought that the kite will not raise from the ground.

I need a good landboard/mountainboard. Im a beginner and have never owned a board. I will usa the board on sand. Not too expensive! :D

What's not too expensive? A specific budget would help.

Providing approximate height and weight would help finding a board that would be a good fit for you.

Also where are you located approximately? Some good deal might be negated by shipping long distances.

I live in Denmark.
Weight: 154 lbs (70 kg)
High: 180 cm
Lets drop the budget for now.
