yeah dylan i hear ya. im considering buying a large 6'2'' surfboard ... u know combined with a 17m flysurfer, i could get some good light wind sessions in you know.

i live up in Humble now, so im right on Lake Houston. ill post some pics soon of this spot ive been scoping out for a while now.

Inland here we're getting bombarded with wind. Too gusty to kite in, actually :sniff:

Has anyone here gotten to play with a Flysurfer 21m? I have been reading a lot about them today and thinking about how bummed I am with the wind at 8-10.
Just watched a video on the Flysurfer site where a guy is running on water that is so smooth and flat it looks like glass, like there is no wind.

I am frustrated with the same thing. I am not far from Seanny and it has been crazy (not in a good way) wind. My 19m FS has barely seen the light of day....to windy!

I concur with the Texans'. Been super windy here lately, but a super gusty, punchy, crazy kind of wind. 17 to 23 gusting to 30's kind of stuff (mph that is). Hard to practice landboarding in that stuff! All you coastal guys don't know how lucky you really are.

I have to agree with the Texans on this one.
Yesterday I could not get my big wings [4.8m NPW, 6.8 m Viper] to fly and today my 3m was being ripped out of my hands.
I want steady mid range winds.

That's just sick! The dude's cruising and not even working the kite. Definitely the king of light wind. Too bad they are so dawgone expensive. Like the saying goes....you gotta pay to play!

All that gusty wind is what I have to deal with all the time. If ever I get the chance to fly clean winds, I will be in heaven. I've heard it a few times before, that it will make me a better kiter from flying in these conditions constantly. Like Macboy said a couple weeks ago....."Those that say we inland kiters are better kiters because of it can have it! I want clean winds!".....tommorow the forecast calls for 35km/h (21mph) I can guarantee that it will be more like 40-50km/h(24-30mph) with gusts well over 60km/h(37mph) I always speculate stronger winds if the forecast calls for anything over 15mph. Many times it has gone completely opposite direction though.:smug:

what I fly/ride:
19m Flysurfer Speed 2 SA
12m Flysurfer Speed2
6m Ozone access xt
1.5m Ozone imp trainer
144cm Airush Switch
152cm lib tech skate banana
