Core ESP control Bar compatibility with Cabrinha IDS kites
Hi,
So I just finished taking lessons down in Florida and have a used 12m Switchblade IDS from 2009. All of the Powerdrive IDS control bars are compatible
with it but I've read good things about Core's ESP bar on kitemare's website. Does anyone know if it is compatible with cabrinha IDS kites? If so,
does it perform better than the cabrinha powerdrive control bar?
Thanks guys!
Too many kites, boards, and etceteras.

No. Or at least, I wouldn't imagine so - if I understand the Core bar correctly, it flags to a single line while the IDS flags to the two front lines
simply by increasing the relative length of the front lines a whole bunch ...
IMHO, in the vast majority of cases, you're better off sticking with the OEM gear, unless you can match up safety systems and the amount of trim or
depower ... well until you're an expert rider. IMHO though.
Check your U2u's, elnica

Ok I take that back - I just got a look at the bar that came with my Core 7 GT - it DOES flag to the two front lines, just like the Cab system. I'd
still go for the Cab bar though, and get a 2011 or better one with the Recoil system - no more balls flapping around your head!

Ah ok, I was going to ask you which year would be better, I found a 2009 for $299 and 2010 and 2011 for $399. But due to the ball flapping isuue I
guess the 2011 would be best.
What would be the difference between the core bar and the powerdrive bar then? It would be nice not to have to buy another smaller bar when I have
money to buy a second LEI (the core bar has 2 sizes in one bar). But I dont want to sacrifice performance.

Dude check your U2u's!
You can get a Recoil upgrade kit too, about $50 IIRC ...
There are 3 bar sizes in the Cab range IIRC and the middle one should be all you need, unless you buy a 16.
