Homemade kite buggy
I am ebaying a kite buggy which I made a few years back
to a plan which I found on the internet.
The link to the auction in here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200...
The buggy works very well - I havent used it for quite a while, but when I was into buggying it served me well, and I never had any issues with it. I
am selling as I am moving house and trying to clear a few things!
The frame is all made of steel, and measures approximately 109cm (front to back) by 102cm (back axle). For transporting, it is possible to
disassesmble the frame into a number of sections (as they are fixed with small bolts). The frame has been painted to minimise corrosion. There are a
few pieces of insulation foam which have been used as padding on sections in front of the driver (these are fixed on with velcro). The seat is made of
webbing material which has been pot-riveted together to form a seat - it is also adjustable (there are some straps and buckles which can be used to
make the seat tighter / looser).
The back wheels are Peter Lynn standard buggy wheels measuring approx 40cm (diameter) by 9cm thick, and are fitted to the frame with large bolts (we
fixed a thread inside the back axle). These wheels would cost about £25 each in their own right. The front wheel and steering are from an old kids
BMX. The front wheel measures 40cm diamater by 5cm thick. I have a spare wheel which I would throw in with the buggy (in case you ever need to replace
it).
The buyer would need to collect from Bristol, before the end of June as I am moving house after that. It may be possible for me to deliver in the
Reading area or along the M4 corridor over the next couple of weeks, but please get in touch about this first to confirm. Alternatively, you could use
the Shiply service to get a quote for a courier ( www.shiply.com) which when I have used before has worked out quite cheaply.
I have started the auction with a very realistic price of £19.99
I have a few more photos which I can email to anyone who is interested.
