Eolo 3m - first flight - beginner

I'm new to this power kite thing and love the outdoors and many hobbies. Wife's Christmas present of a single line kite inspired me to a stunt kite (new jam)and now to a eolo rad 3.0M. Alot of fun in today's 15mph winds with some drags of 8 feet. i weigh 215 lb. Kite had much more precision than i expected. I will, as you know, want something that will pull harder. Any comments on how an eolo 6m would compare to a flexifoil blade 4.9?

Allright, lets see.... really depends on what your trying to do. If you want off the ground, get the Blade, if not then the radsail will do fine. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. I cant say for sure, because I have never flown a radsail, but I think the 4.9 blade will have it all over the 6m. NOTHING made compares to a Blade. A few things are close, but all in the end, everything else falls short on all out aggressive explosive power. There are kites that will make the same power and lift (namely the Riot from Ozone, and the Bego from Macpara) but they are a much smoother more refined power. Hope this helps you out.

radsails nice. the build quality is excellent i give my 3 a good thrashing and its seems to be indestructible. not bad lift either for size. ive flown the 6 and they handle very nicely. all depends on your wallet :) i wish i had a blade........

Wow...16-25 mph winds had the radsail 3.0 pulling with enough force to drag my a** around. Lovin this sport, except i spaced out when "parapacking" and deviated from known procedure...tangles. When i master the line management thing life will be better. This kite is for 12-25 mph winds. I see a kite that pulls hard at ~5-15 mph in my future. It sounds like the blade's instant power may not be exactly what i want. i like to get dragged around and get a good workout.

Im not saying blades have instant power, but they are very aggressive, and do build rather quickly. Keep in mind, the smaller the kite, the worse this is. The larger blades are quite pleasant. From the 4.9 down they start getting kinda mean. The 4.9 has been deemed the widowmaker. Here's the thing, the 4.9 is small enough to be fast and aggressive, and big enough to have serious power when it acts up. The smaller ones, can get pretty mean and whip your butt, but overall they just dont get the power the 4.9 does.

If you want something just to pull you around, I would day a 6m radsail would be fine, but for something in the same price range, I really liked the Peter Lynn Peppers. It comes in a 6.5. This is one of the smoothest predictable kites I have flown.

i have a 5m raddy pro and i find that it gives great pull and some lift in a 15mph wind so the 6m will be similar or most probabily above the 4.9 blade in power. build quality great and lines are brill and handles arent that bad bt you might want to invest in some flexi handles! if you are going to get one look on ebay! i got my 5m on ebay for 100 quid brand new!
