Buggy Camera Mount
Hi all.
So I've read a bit about the buggy camera mount, but I was wondered, does anybody have idea how to mount a camera without spending so much money on a
professional mount device ? Any idea will be gladly accepted, pictures will be better.
Feel free to upload some of yours (if you have any..)
Thanks

How 'bout a couple of bits of 40mm pvc, a bit of dowell (at the top to screw your mount to or to put a 1/4 inch T-nut into and another bit of dowell
for some reinforcement beneath the Downey fence fitting clamp. Like this: It's light, it's cheap, it doesn't wobble or flex and it's easy to take on
and off.

I use PVC as well. So cheap that mistakes or failures are not expensive. One thing with PVC is to keep the segments short- it is flexible enough to
really whip around and shake if on a long segment. For the camera mount I unscrewed the standard mount with swivel off of an old cheap collapsible
tripod. Will try to find pics.

Close up of the 45 degree bend Bit of dowell shoved in the end. You can drill and screw a gopro flat mount to it or drill a hole so you can put a
bolt in from the other side to secure a ball head camera mount (or pan/tilt - mine is a 3/8 bsw thread). The beauty of the GoPro and flat mount plate
is there is very little weight to bounce around and a very wide angle lens to minimize vibration.
You can cheaply knock up a few of these for different attachments...like a flashlight for night buggying
Better still is the pistol grip mount....see next post for pic

Even more useful is this pistol grip mount - again, I've simply screwed a GoPro flat mount plate to an appropriate handle (off a now deceased Pelican
King Light) It sits in my lap while I'm buggying and I just grab it and film as I need to. (The beauty of a stable depower kite!) ps: don't forget
to counter sink your screw holes for the flat mount!
