Lines vs Bridle numbering sequence ?
On the recoup ...thought I'd repack my Viper as I did a wizz bang job in packing it up the day I got hurt. Thats when I remembered that when I was
hooking everything up that day. (new used kite) I noticed that the flying lines/ brake lines numbering didn't correspond with the bridle numbering.
the usual way. The kite laid out with bridles up the leading edge bridles are numbered
(left, red#2)(right,blue#3)
Brake bridles are numbered
(left#1)(right#3)
The flying lines are
red line#1,blue#4.
brake lines are
left #2 right #3
Tell me I'm not nutts and this is not right!

You said it's a new "used" kite, right? The person you bought it from might have switched them. Just sayin.

Left and right doesn't really matter, all four lines should be the exact same length so if you get the left on the right it makes no difference. Just
make sure that you hook the lines up on the kite the same way you do on the handles and it will be fine. There will be no adverse effect.
Hooking top to bottom is a different story. The bottom lines are not as strong as the top lines so hooking these up backwards will cause excessive
stretch or you will break the line. Always make sure the smaller or lighter strength lines are on the bottom and the stronger thicker lines are on
top.
