Current weather & wind web site
I have been useing a web site called Weather Underground (wunderground.com) for years to find current weather conditions including wind direction and
local radar. Check it out for your area. http://www.wunderground.com/ After you enter your location. Hover over the small radar map and choose the Wunder Map option. Customize the
wunder map in the right window under weather stations to include temp and wind. the results should give you all the stations close to you with
current and continually updated info. You can then click on a stations icon which opens a new window to include more specific info. In that window
you can click on the highlighted identification name for that station and get even more info. You may have to zoom the map in a bit to get stations
that may be located closer to your location. Takes a bit to become use to navigating the site but great current and updated info.

For FORECASTED wind over several days showing WIND DIRECTION every several hours, don't forget USAIRNET.COM.

I use www.intellicast.com Where I am, it uses radar from the local Airforce base. (only 20 min down the road). Seems to be mostly accurate.

If you look in the window to the right after opening the Wundermap you can customize map. Check US Forcast then check wind mph, and you can move time
bar for several days ahead to see forcast wind dir. and speed.

You might also want to try sailflow.com wind speed and direction prediction for up to a week
customised to your area. Exellent if you live near a coastal area.
