Is it possible to design for strength, if the designer doesn't really understand what strength is?

Paraglider.....

The folks at SkyCountry do paragliders, kites, and parasails.

I think there are a couple of videos floating around with Solaris and/or her husband on paragliders.

thanks for the Link this looks amazing how much do paragliders cost ? ive always wanted to buy one but unsure of the price :D

Paragliders are not cheap. A novice wing, SC Discovery 4, is 3 grand. Outfitting yourself with a glider and other stuff needed could easily burn through the best part of $5000.
The video is of a "minwing", a cross between a speed glider and a full paraglider. It is for experienced pilots. The video is filmed at Mt. Woodside, just east of Vancouver, BC.
That top landing with an 18m shows the pilot really knows his s**t.

Very Sweet! Would love to try that one day! That pilot definitely is bad a*%& with a spot on landing on a pin head in the middle of the mountains!
