  1. KONE's (Kites Over New England) List of places to fly

  2. 3 places I would like to check out in your neck of the woods:

    Legion Field:
    175 Bedford Street (Routes 18 & 28), Bridgewater

    Scotland Field:
    Prospect Street, Bridgewater

    Rainbow's End Playground
    Flagg Street, Bridgewater

  3. Forges Field - Plymouth, MA (A cluster of 18 adjacent fields)

Note: It is a place that I am very surprised none of the other kite flyers in the Boston/RI area have ever mentioned before

dgkid78 is a member of this forum and also lives down in that neck of the woods. Perhaps you can hook up with him or tap him for ideas.

dgkid78's home field is Fort Tabor in New Bedford, MA. It's about 35 miles South from Bridewater.

That spot in new bedford looks like a great spot. Ive been to both legion field and Rainbows end. They are great spots to fly. looking to expand my flying experiences. might i add the winds arent too steady at legion field and only are steady at Rainbows end when the wind hits the whole diagonal line of the soccer fields.

I spend way too much time on Google Earth and downloading coordinates to my GPS so I can check out spots when I am in the area.

If anyone is from eastern ma and wants to meet at this field to fly....go to google earth and search "Cook st, Bridgewater, MA"

Just found the field today after looking on google earth. drove there and found that its about a quarter mile long and wide. looks to be a great place to fly. i walked out on the field and there was nothing but space. U2U me if anybody wants to meet. winds get pretty strong here frequently.

The Bridgewater locations, I didn't have already. I have considered flying at the open area near the Fire Dept. on School Street because I sometimes listen to music in the area. I like it when I can go flying during the day and listen to music nearby in the evening. So I was checking out what other fields were in Bridgewater.

The aerial photos are from the Bridgewater Parks and Recreation website not Google, so those are just a direct link.

YELLLOOOOO...hey guys sorry I am a little late here with the convo.. Hey Thrasher whats going on!! Welcome...well like indigo pointed out. Fort Tabor is the place I head to. The only problem with the site now is that they charge for parking, so if i go i usually am there after 5pm...dunno the cut-off for paying but when I head there after that time, the booth with the acne scarred runt with an attitude isn't there. Excited about after Labor Day weekend when the winds will be better and have little less crowds.
