The Biggest Kite title changed again recently. Peter Lynn topped his own Mega Flags (the USA, Japan, and Kuwait Mega Flags are all made by PL) with
the "M Ray" this past Spring.

The kites used by the German company SkySails aren't actually all that large (comparitively).
The initials trips were done with kites that measured 160 square meters and took over 20% of the workload for the ships engines. The next ones will
be 320 square meters which will save the shipping concerns $2000 a day per ship.
There are also two ships that they are currently outfitting with sails that are 600 square meters. Not a world record, but still pretty sizable to be
running on a day in day out basis (weather permitting) on an ocean voyage.
