Buggy camp located on Dellmoor Loop off of HWY 101. Exact address ????
But look for the wind socks. Morrie, Jon, or Jim may be more help with the address.

Airin and I will leave downtown Van at about 6am Friday morning.

We will cross at either Peace arch or the truck crossing depending on posted wait times. Both are the busiest and it would be to your advantage to cross earlier? At least to take I-10 to avoid the city .

I think we will leave options open so will see you on the beach Friday afternoon.

Smart plan. Sounds like chaos trying to coordinate at the border. Plus you won't have to wait for me in the Duty Free ; )

macboy,
you will save yourself a lot of extra miles and #@%$#!e loads of traffic by crossing at Huntington/Sumas , near Abbotsford. From there take SR 9 and SR 542 to Bellingham and pickup the I5 there. There is usually way less wait at this border crossing than Peace Arch or the Pac Hwy truck crossing. The Blaine border crossings are almost 20 miles west of Bellingham. You will save about 50 miles of very busy road.

being a foreigner, leaving Drayton Valley around 4am heading dow to Spokane for a night stop, not sure what border I cross, British passport, Alberta licence and Saffer accent might confuse the poor fellows. I follow the route google maps gave me....lol

see you friday sometime, any clues to the beach or meeting spot/local restrictions etc

Thanks

Ah! Here I was thinking that buggy camp was right on sunset (wouldn't that be nice?)

Leads me to believe I needn't worry too much about a coffee maker since there's a daily commute to the beach right? That's even better cuz I can maybe find some parking lot wi-fi to stay in touch with work.

Only to be courteous to others on the beach, not to block the entrance and don't get stuck in the sand. Hopefully it will be worked on by the county before the big week, but right now it is really soft. There are signs before you approach the beach on general guide lines.

How far north of the approach should people be setting up? What are the beach conditions?

And don't get run over. The beach is part of the Interstate. Crazy!

Right now they aren't the greatest. Sure hoping for some improvement. The decisions on where to set-up in my opinion will almost have to be a wait-n-see.

Fingers are crossed for a big storm to hit...:o
